Microsoft has unveiled a slew of new games coming to Xbox Game Pass in the near future and subscribers can look forward to plenty of Day-One releases. One of the best parts about the console's subscription service is the ability to play new titles for no extra cost the moment they launch, meaning those who use the platform have access to a wealth of fresh titles that they don't need to pay an additional fee to access. Following the recent ID@Xbox showcase, the company confirmed that the next few months will be packed with some exciting Day-One drops.

Per Xbox's official blog, Game Pass users can look forward to many new games arriving on the service in 2024, but when it comes to Day-One releases, these titles have all made the cut:

33 Immortals

Commandos: Origins

All You Need Is Help

Depersonalization

Kerplerth

Firework

Volcano Princess

The Rewinder

Dungeons of Hinterberg

Vampire Survivors: Laborratory

Humanity

Palworld

While many other games were spotlighted during the event, the above-mentioned titles have all be confirmed to be arriving on Game Pass at launch. It's worth mentioning that Vampire Survivors is already on the service but its Laborratory update will launch on the service at the same time it does on other platforms; The same goes for Palworld which will receive a major content update that introduces several new Pals into the game.

Breaking Down These Day-One Releases

These Games Are Shaping Up To Be Great

Without delving deeply into each of the Day-One releases, players are certainly spoilt for choice when it comes to Game Pass' selection. Starting with 33 Immortals, a game developed by Thunder Lotus, who made the incredible Spiritfarer, users will take on the role of one of the titular Immortals as they battle against hordes of vicious enemies with 32 other players in a massive co-op roguelike. If that sounds too explosive, slow the pace down with the reboot of the Commandos series that prioritizes tense real-time stealth and tactics.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, All You Need Is Help is a quirky Tetris-inspired puzzle game about working together with friends to correctly move and eventually set down pieces in designated locations. Dungeons of Hinterberg takes some cues from The Legend of Zelda as it tasks players with hunting and destroying monsters while also forming a cozy life in the titular village populated by friendly NPCs. One last shout-out should also go to Depersonalization, one publisher Gamera's selection of titles, which's shaping up to be an excellent and thought-provoking RPG.

With the recent wave of Day-One announcements for Xbox Game Pass, it's easy to forget that the service will be making some adjustments to facilitate these newcomers. Much like every month, a selection of titles will leave the platform as a new batch of games is introduced and April is no different as popular experiences like 7 Days to Die, Besiege, and EA Sports NHL 22 are all leaving. Fortunately, a new batch of games will likely soon be announced to help fill the void.
