NHL 25: How To Farm XP & Level Up Fast
Many of the seasonal rewards being offered in EA Sports NHL 25 can only be earned when you gain enough XP, which you can farm in several ways. Leveling up through the content in the game's Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT) mode can earn you packs containing all-star athletes from the ice. Farming experience can help you earn new players to make your team stronger against different opponents.
XP Seasons is an exclusive feature of Ultimate Team, similar to the Ultimate Team modes of other games, such as NBA 2K25 or WWE 2K24. By leveling up through these seasons, which will update with NHL 25's ongoing support, you can earn different items and currencies for free. These rewards include athlete packs that help bolster your roster with talented players for you to add to your squad.
How To Farm XP In NHL 25
Complete Different Goals And Play Through Matches
One of the best ways to farm XP fast in NHL 25 is to simply play through matches quickly in various modes. This can be from online multiplayer in Ultimate Team to Superstar battles that you can finish in 15–20 minutes for some experience. You are rewarded with experience for completing matches, no matter whether you win or lose, so finish every period of every game you participate in.

Another easy strategy to earn XP is to finish Daily and Weekly objectives that rotate within the game's systems. When you press the "View All Objectives" prompt from any edition of NHL 25 in the main menu, you can see a variety of milestones you can reach. These objectives offer sizable chunks of XP for their completion, including several tasks that require you to accomplish in-game goals.

Some of the Daily or Weekly missions you may be asked to do could be:
Win A Match
Get Faceoff Wins With Any Player [Any Mode]
Open 4 Daily Reward Packs
Take Shots With Any Player [Any Mode]
Score 50 Goals
Complete 20 Games
The rewards from these tasks can be small for Daily objectives, but massive for some Weekly goals. You should try and pursue Daily missions for quick XP, but complete Weekly objectives for larger amounts of experience. Be careful when pursuing other Milestones or goals from the other tabs in the objectives menu, as some of these only provide Coins rather than XP.
The alternate Wild Card mode also offers similar objectives for you to complete but under different rules. A seasonal set of rewards earned through WC Points also lets you gain XP for forming teams under certain restrictions. Some Wild Card seasons may restrict your team's budget for players, while others can only allow you to recruit players from a certain part of the nation.
Why Should You Level Up Fast?
Earn Player Packs Quickly
The primary reason why you want to level up fast is to earn every Ultimate Team reward before the season changes later on. Right now, the seasonal content being offered is through the early access of NHL 25 during this time of writing. However, the near future will see those rewards replaced by new ones, causing many to lose out on receiving the older items earned through XP.
Common rewards from the XP progression pathways seen in Ultimate Team are Coins, the game's primary currency. This in-game money allows you to purchase players for your HUT, giving you the tools for your squad to grow stronger.
The features of different Ultimate Team modes have changed in recent entries across EA Sports titles, but NHL 25 has mostly kept its HUT the same from its previous iteration.
That being said, the most frequent reward you will get from farming XP will be Player Packs, which give you a random collection of players. Some Packs give you one random player with a specific Overall Rating, while others are simply a grab-bag of athletes who can be of any strength. Depending on your luck, some Packs could give you show-stopping players who become staples of your team.
Some other rewards you may get from farming XP include Power Up Icons, a special Pack type that lets you pick an Icon player item in Ultimate Team. These items can enhance the abilities of your top players, giving you a chance to turn top competitors into uncontested talents. When you level up enough in EA Sports NHL 25, the XP you farm will help you earn a great many of these Icons for your efforts.
