After the end of Below Deck Mediterranean season 5, fans are wondering just how long Jessica More and Rob Westergaard dated after the cameras were off. Season five heavily focused on Jess and Rob’s toxic relationship that did not seem to benefit either one of them. The couple quickly hit it off, thanks to Jess’s good looks and Rob’s spiritual way of thinking, But it was Jess’s jealousy and Rob’s mind games that ultimately tore them apart. Fans were surprised to find out the two actually made it to Bali together after the season finale.
Below Deck Med season 5 aired from late May 2020 to mid-October 2020 and featured 20 episodes and two virtual Reunion episodes. The other infamous thing that happened in season 5 aside from Jess and Rob's disastrous relationship, was the firing of long-time Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier. She was fired by Captain Sandy Yawn for having a vape pen and Xanax without a prescription after Bosun Malia White told on her. Season 5 was highly memorable for the many OMG moments it brought, and fans still wonder today about Rob and Jess' doomed relationship.
How Long Did Jess & Rob Stay Together After Below Deck Med Season 5?
They Didn't Last Long
After the finale aired, Jess made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live to let fans know she was no longer with Rob. Fans were pretty sure the couple was not going to survive Jess's many jealous outbursts, so they were relieved when they heard the news of the couple's breakup. Jess informed viewers she and Rob made it to Bali for their trip, even though the South African tried to ghost her at the airport right before their flight. Jess told Andy Cohen her relationship was "toxic."
She also said the last time the two spoke was back in February 2020 during their breakup.
At the Reunion, which was filmed in October 2020, Jess accused Rob of sending "really inappropriate" messages to Aesha Scott. Rob brushed the accusations off, saying that he and Aesha had a brother-sister-like relationship.
Fans were a bit surprised the couple even lasted until February to begin with. While the two were hot and heavy throughout season five, a nasty cold front blew through their relationship. The couple was together for six months, according to Jess, and saw each other every day. Even though the reality star claimed being in a relationship with Rob was like riding a roller coaster, she said she was addicted to his love and attention.
She explained, "I've never felt that sort of affection and attention and love — and then also the polar opposite."
Jess & Rob's Lives Are Both Similar & Different In 2024
They Are Both Parents
Close
Jess and Rob's lives are completely separate from each other in 2024, but they also live similar lives. Unfortunately, according to Instagram, the two do not follow each other anymore. Like many other charter romances, their passion ended shortly after they departed the yacht. However, they have moved on to different chapters in their lives with new loves of their lives.
For Rob, he has been dating a woman named Dani Ropel for several years. The pair recently welcomed a child together and seem to have settled in South Carolina, according to Rob's Instagram bio. In a recent post, Rob called his now-wife "my milf, my wife and my human." Before having a child, Rob and Dani did a lot of traveling and smeared their romance all over Instagram. It's unclear what Rob does for work now as he no longer posts modeling shots or gives any hint as to what his occupation is other than being a dad.
Jess welcomed a daughter in late October 2022 and has chosen not to let Below Deck fans know who the father is.
Jess has avidly kept up with her fitness and spirituality, and a lot of her posts attribute everything to God.
Jess also touts her Below Deck Med appearance and says she is a "former Stewardess."
"Life is good, God is great & I am so lucky," Jess captioned in a picture with her daughter in a swimming pool.
With 128,000 followers on Instagram, Jess is a fitness influencer who regularly posts fitness-related and baby content. She also travels a lot and was recently in El Salvador for an unnamed reason. It's clear Rob and Jess chose the path to love, just not with each other, and it's probably for the best after their disastrous time on Below Deck Med.
Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 premieres Monday, June 3 at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
