Virus-Tracking Wearable Studies
The Oura TemPredict Study will Monitor for COVID-19 Patterns
The Oura TemPredict study has been announced by the wearable technology brand to help with the continued fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and offer a new kind of tool to keep healthcare workers safe. The study will see more than 2,000 healthcare workers outfitted with Oura rings to keep an eye on their bodily conditions including temperature, heart rate and respiratory rate. This will help researchers to potentially identify when symptoms are developing, how they progress and track recovery.
The Oura TemPredict study is being run in partnership with the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and is part of the recent influx of startups and brands alike pitching in to help with the worldwide pandemic.
