Giving into to Temptations! Clever cat breaks into a carton of treats in under 60 seconds

This is the clever moment a cat breaks into a carton of chicken-flavored treats in less than 60 seconds.

The smart cat stands on her hind legs and scratches at the lid in the footage filmed in Lewiston, Maine.

She continues scratching the edge of the yellow lid to try to remove it so she can reach the treats.

The cat uses her teeth on the lid to try and get it off. When the lid slips off, she begins eating the reward.

Lucas Farrar posted the video on YouTube on July 22 and said: 'She actually usually does it faster!'

Last year, a cat called Muffin in Sunderland was caught opening the drawer where the treats were kept.

The four-year-old got hungry and sat by the drawer for a minute. He leapt onto his hind legs, pounced on the handle.

He put both his front paws around the drawer handle and pulled it open.

Muffin rummaged around the drawer for a few seconds and then strolled off with the treats in his mouth.
