11 Fashion Editor-Approved Fall Wardrobe Essentials

I can’t wait for fall outfits. Don’t get me wrong—I love slipping into swimsuits and sandals, printed dresses and slides—but I’m a huge boots and layers person so the approaching fall season has me excited for a whole new way of dressing. Plus, as a fashion editor, I’m often counting down all of the trends spotted on the runways and figuring out ways to incorporate them into my real-life wardrobe. So, what are the fall capsule wardrobe essentials I’ll be investing in for the season ahead?

For fall, I’m stocking up on chic but stylish basics that I know I’ll be wearing over and over again. Yep, I’ll be continuing to wear pieces like slouchy trousers and leather Bermuda shorts that I’ve recently adopted, but will be adding seasonal finds like chunky knee-high boots, tube skirts, stirrup leggings, and scrunched heels that are destined to be everywhere in a few months.
