However, in early 2024, it was confirmed that even more original stars would be returning, with Henry Golding back as Sean Townsend and Andrew Rannells as Darren. Furthermore, Bashir Salahuddin will return as Detective Summerville alongside Joshua Satine as Miles Smothers, Ian Ho as Nicky Townsend-Nelson, and Kelly McCormack as Stacy.

Oscar-winner Allison Janney is the first new name added to the ensemble of A Simple Favor 2, but the I,Tonya and The West Wing star's role has not been revealed yet.
