With nearly two years passing since the acclaimed release of The Gray Man, the latest news sees Joe Russo offer a positive update on The Gray Man 2. Though the co-director didn't have much to offer by way of details, Russo did reveal that The Gray Man 2 is still in active development, and they are currently trying to hammer out story details. "We're developing concepts we think are the right direction to take the character," said Russo, and though no specifics are available, it's a good sign that the sequel is coming.

Six broke himself and Claire out of confinement and escaped Brewer and Carmichael at the end of The Gray Man, setting up the next chapter of their story. It's possible Six will have no choice but to train Claire in how to be a Gray Man to survive, while Dani may choose to fight her corrupt bosses from within the CIA. The Gray Man 2 has plenty of story threads to work with if it ever comes to fruition.
