With anticipation building for the next season of nostalgic fun, the latest news confirms a release date for That '90s Show season 2. In keeping with Netflix's new content release strategy, the sophomore outing of That '90s Show will air in two parts, starting with part 1 which arrives on Thursday, June 27. Fans will have a considerable wait for part 2 and the second half of the season is expected to drop on Thursday, October 24. The season's 16-episode run will presumably be split into 8-episode halves.

Hot on the heels of the show's release date announcement, Netflix also released the first trailer for That '90s Show season 2. Opening with a heartfelt scene between Red and his granddaughter Leia, the trailer also highlights the teen characters from season 1. Furthermore, the exciting and hilarious tease also reveals returning cameo stars like Laura Prepon while also dropping a few surprises like Kevin Smith and Jay Mewes as their iconic '90s characters, Jay and Silent Bob.

In keeping with Netflix's modern content release plan, the sophomore season is now slated to arrive in two parts beginning with part 1 on Thursday, June 27. It will be nearly four months before part 2 arrives, and Netflix has currently scheduled it for Thursday, October 24.

Not long after Netflix announced the release date for That '90s Show season 2, a trailer was released that teased the exciting sophomore outing. Besides the heartfelt moments between Red, Kitty, and their granddaughter Leia, the trailer spends most of its time reintroducing the characters and conflicts in the group of teens.
