Marvel Studios' Disney+ shows gave supporting and secondary characters from previous MCU projects their time in the spotlight, and have also been used to introduce smaller-scale heroes to the MCU, such as She-Hulk, Daredevil, Ms. Marvel, and Moon Knight.

After the success of the first 10 episodes of X-Men '97, which was created by Beau DeMayo before his departure from the project prior to its release, Marvel executive Brad Winterbaum announced that at least two more seasons would follow. DeMayo himself confirmed that he originally had plans for 5 seasons of X-Men '97, so there may be more than what's currently been announced.

X-Men '97's season 1 ending set up several storylines for the future, particularly with the seemingly inevitable arrival of notorious Marvel villain Onslaught. Now that the X-Men are reunited under Charles Xavier's leadership, there is huge potential for even more of Marvel's X-Men comics storylines to also make it to Disney+. Beau DeMayo is seemingly unlikely to return, but the creative team behind the show have proven their mettle so well that there should be confidence that the well-reviewed show can continue on the same path.
