Daredevil Just Met His Ultimate Villain And the Sin Makes Kingpin Look Totally Pathetic

Warning! Spoilers ahead for Daredevil #16!Forget about Kingpin, Daredevil is coming face-to-face with his greatest and most powerful enemy yet. Ever since coming back from Hell, the Seven Deadly Sins have been vying to claim Matt Murdock's soul. Now the most powerful sin is using one of Daredevil's failures to help bring him down for good.

In Daredevil #16 by Saladin Ahmed and Aaron Kuder, Foggy Nelson is possessed by Pride, causing him to sue Matt to shutter the home Daredevil is running for unhoused youths. Unable to exorcise his friend do to renouncing God, Daredevil hits the streets to clear his head.

However, while on patrol, Daredevil is attacked by another sin, Wrath, which takes the form of a giant wolf. Matt and Wrath fight, but even Daredevil knows that he's hopelessly outgunned by the demon. To make matters worse, Wrath reveals that it's possessed Jason, one of Daredevil's charges from the group home.

Matt's Latest Failure Could Wind Up Costing Him His Life

After returning from Hell, Daredevil got a second chance at life and became a priest and ran a shelter for children in need, only to discover that one of the kids under his care was the son of a H.A.M.M.E.R. agent that was killed by Bullseye. However, thanks to the press, Daredevil was blamed, causing Jason to hate Daredevil. To make matters worse, Jason discovered 'Father Matt's' secret identity, causing him to run away. Unfortunately, Jason didn't know that Matt was followed by the Seven Deadly Sins, which were attaching themselves to people in Daredevil's life to make him suffer.

Ever since Matt discovered the truth about Jason's background, he's felt incredible guilt and has been searching high and low for the boy. But now Daredevil's charge is the host of the most lethal sin Matt has come across. Matt has fought Wrath twice and both times, Daredevil barely got away with his life. Maybe Daredevil could do some damage if he really let his anger out, but with Jason at the center of Wrath, there's no way in hell Matt isn't going to hold back. But holding back against Wrath is almost certainly going to get Matt killed.

How Can Daredevil Save Jason and Stop Wrath?

Divine Intervention or Something Else?

With Daredevil having forsaken God, he's on his own against this monster that's possessed the boy that Matt feels he failed. But Daredevil knows he can't beat Wrath by himself, especially if Jason's life is at risk. Matt's only chance at succeeding here is by getting right with his god or, at the very least, getting his priest friend Father Javi to do it for him. Exorcism is the only thing that has beaten the Seven Deadly Sins and unless Daredevil figures out a way to do that, his and Jason's lives are in grave danger.Daredevil #16 is available now from Marvel Comics.
