Who's Hosting The 2025 Golden Globes & Where You Know Them From
The Golden Globes are the first big event of the 2025 awards season, giving out awards to the best films and TV shows of 2024, though the ceremony has always been much less of a draw than many of the other awards shows. While the most important aspect of the ceremony is, of course, which film and TV projects will take home the most awards, another very important part of the ceremony is the host, and how they will shape how the show goes throughout the night.
The question of the continued importance of the Golden Globes when the Oscars are so dominant in the awards season remains, but they are still leading the charge as the first event that defines how the next few months of ceremonies may go. With the 2025 Oscar nominees not even announced yet, everyone is looking to this event to see how the films of the year are generally perceived by voters, and the event's host is going to be a big part of how the ceremony is viewed as a whole, for good and bad.
Nikki Glaser Is Hosting The 2025 Golden Globes
Glaser Is A Stand-Up Comedian And Prolific TV Host
The host for the Golden Globes 2025 was announced in August last year, and it was revealed to be Nikki Glaser, a stand-up comedian and actor. Glaser isn't a household name, certainly not as much as the host of the 97th Academy Awards, Conan O'Brien, but she has appeared in many projects throughout her years in the entertainment industry. Last year's Golden Globes ceremony was widely criticized for its host, Jo Koy, so Glaser's performance as host will be very heavily scrutinized.

Nikki Glaser is most well-known for her many TV hosting appearances, ranging from a sex/comedy talk show called Not Safe with Nikki Glaser, to the reality TV dating shows Blind Date and FBoy Island. Glaser was a contestant on The Masked Singer, the wildly successful Fox singing competition. She has also worked closely with comedian Amy Schumer on multiple occasions, appearing in the films Trainwreck and I Feel Pretty, also appearing in the TV shows Inside Amy Schumer and guest starring in A.P. Bio.
Nikki Glaser has also consistently hosted podcasts and radio shows since the early 2010s, with her current biggest project being The Nikki Glaser Podcast.
Funnily enough, Nikki Glaser herself is actually nominated for a Golden Globe this year, for her HBO original comedy special, Nikki Glaser: Someday You'll Die, which was nominated for Best Stand-Up Comedy Performance. The special was also nominated for Pre-Recroded Variety Special at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, though it didn't win the award, losing to Dick Van Dyke 98 Years of Magic. Glaser's career has been very consistent since she began, and this upcoming Golden Globes hosting job will be another great showcase of her talents.
