Not long after Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver was released, the latest news sees Zack Snyder reveal story details about Rebel Moon 3. Though Snyder's revelation isn't particularly surprising considering the cliffhanger ending of part 2, the celebrated action director confirms that part 3 will see the heroes strike out in an attempt to find the missing Princess Issa. Meanwhile, the victory on Veldt will inspire the rebellion to broaden their horizons and expand their influence.

Snyder's full comments include:

The story of movie three would be tracking [Princess Issa] down and finding out how [the rebels] can use the victory at Veldt to create a coalition of planets that were on the edge of rebellion, but have now seen the example of downing a dreadnought. Maybe now there’s an opportunity. It’s a chink in the armor. That’s really what it is.

Because Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver released in April 2024, it's safe to say that Rebel Moon 3 is still quite a ways away from becoming a reality. Since Zack Snyder is still penning the script, there's no way of knowing exactly how long it will take before the movie becomes a more solid project. If Netflix is pleased with the performance of the first two Rebel Moon movies, the streamer might be more inclined to rush the third into production. Despite all that, it's likely that Rebel Moon 3 won't materialize before 2026 at the earliest.

The journey will not only be for the sake of saving the royal heir, but also will represent a bit of redemption for Kora who thought her actions led to the death of the young girl.

The cliffhanger ending of Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver clearly set up the sequel, and Zack Snyder quickly confirmed that part 3 will pick up where the last left off. This means that Kora and company will be setting out in search for Princess Issa who was long thought dead. The journey will not only be for the sake of saving the royal heir, but also will represent a bit of redemption for Kora who thought her actions led to the death of the young girl.

Meanwhile, Rebel Moon 3 will also see the continued expansion of the rebellion after their victory on Veldt. Despite sending Imperial troops running, the rebellion will still have a lot of ground to cover if they want to bring the Motherworld down once and for all. The warriors of Veldt will need to make coalitions with other planets who are equally disgruntled with the Empire. This opens the door for more conflicts as the formation of a galactic rebellion will cause sparks to fly.
