Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts 2 - Will It Happen? Everything We Know
Summary Transformers: Rise of the Beasts 2 is confirmed and will continue the Beast Wars trilogy.
Little news on the sequel's plot and cast has been revealed, but it will likely feature characters introduced in the first film.
The sequel could tie up loose ends from the first movie and explore different decades than the '90s.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts refreshed the multimedia franchise, and there are already rumblings about a Transformers: Rise of the Beasts 2 coming soon. Serving as a sequel to Bumblebee and a prequel to the Transformers movies, Rise of the Beasts is inspired by the fan-favorite Beast Wars storyline. It is set in 1994 Brooklyn, and sees an archeologist and an ex-military electronics expert teaming up to help Optimus Prime and the Autobots in a battle to protect Earth from Unicron’s impending invasion.
Sequels are par for the course in the live-action Transformers franchise. The original Transformers movie was followed by four Michael Bay-directed sequels: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Transformers: Age of Extinction, and Transformers: The Last Knight. However, the next installment after that, Bumblebee, broke franchise tradition by serving as both a spin-off and a prequel to the Transformers franchise. Transformers: Rise of the Beast followed a similar path, and there is already news about a follow-up.

The Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts Sequel Is Confirmed
Paramount Has Big Plans For Rise Of The Beasts
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts 2 was confirmed over a year before the first film’s release date. In February 2022, Paramount+ tweeted that Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will be “the first of three new installments.” Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is planned as the first chapter of a Beast Wars trilogy. While no title or plot details have been confirmed, Paramount is working on a sequel, and another sequel is to come after that.
On the other hand, no news has surfaced regarding the sequel since the first movie debuted, and that could likely be due to Rise of the Beasts' poor box-office performance. The movie was the first Transformers movie to fail to break even, something strange in a franchise that has consistently made money. It is unclear if this box-office failure will change Paramount's plans going forward.

Who Will Return?
Close
Paramount hasn’t confirmed an official cast list for the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts sequel, but it will likely feature a lot of characters who were introduced in the first movie, and the actors who played them. Anthony Ramos will likely be back as Noah Diaz, and Dominique Fishback is expected to return as Elena Wallace, since they are the human heart of the planned series.
Likewise, the voice cast will probably see the return of many familiar voice artists as the titular robots in disguise. Peter Cullen, who’s been voicing Optimus Prime since the 1980s, was on hand for the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts cast, and he'll likely be back again. The producers will also probably want to keep their most famous voice actors around for the sequel, like Pete Davidson as Mirage and Ted Lasso’s Cristo Fernández as Wheeljack. Furthermore, Michelle Yeoh could return as Airazor, Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal, and Peter Dinklage as Scourge.

The Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts Sequel Story Details
What Happens Next?
There are no Rise of the Beasts 2 updates concerning the plot synopsis, but it will likely continue the story set up in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. The Transformers: Rise of the Beasts 2 story is being planned as the second part of a Beast Wars trilogy, and Unicron will likely be set up as the big bad for the three-part epic. The second chapter of the trilogy could well bring the characters from Bumblebee back into the fold – particularly Hailee Steinfeld’s Charlie Watson, who became a close friend of Bumblebee’s as she protected him from shady government agents.
Bumblebee takes place in the 1980s, while Transformers: Rise of the Beasts takes place in the 1990s. If these Transformers prequel movies are each tackling a different decade, then Transformers: Rise of the Beasts 2 could bring the story back to the 2000s, the decade where it all began with Bay’s original films. It might stay in the ‘90s to continue the Beast Wars storyline started in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts with Noah and Elena in the spotlight. Alternatively, it could go even further back into the 1960s or 1970s for another standalone story.
