The teasers and trailers for From season 3 started arriving in mid to late 2024, and with them came several new theories about what could be in store for the show moving forward. One particular shot in the first teaser trailer got fans of From instantly talking online, as it seems to hint at the death of a major character — and one who is essential for the overall survival of the town.

In one of the first preview shots of From season 3, Boyd can be seen pulling a wheelbarrow with a corpse inside it. The identity of the corpse isn't revealed, and is only wearing one shoe, but it's in this piece of remaining footwear that a key From theory has already emerged. The corpse is wearing a white sneaker, and — as many online sleuths have pointed out — the only character in From seen wearing white sneakers before was Kristi Miller.

Kristi is the closest thing the residents of the town in From have to a doctor. If she were to die then it would be a significant loss for the trapped community, and one that would put them at terrible risk of succumbing to disease and injury. If the corpse wearing a white sneaker in the From season 3 trailer is indeed Kristi, then it would significantly up the tension and danger of the upcoming episodes.

The From season 3 trailers had a key detail that many fans picked up on almost immediately — there is snow on the ground. While this may seem trivial at first, it was already established that the town was having problems with crop yields and growing food toward the end of season 2. Snow and colder temperatures will only serve to make the situation worse.

The theory that the Boy in White is actually Thomas suggests that From’s town and the inexplicable events are happening inside the mind of Jim during experimental psychotherapy. Later on, their baby/Elgin escapes with the rest of the town, only for the cycle to restart when Elgin rides on a bus into town. According to the fan theory, the mummy is trying to tell Elgin to go to the lake as a way for him to leave the town. Ultimately, Victor’s drawings would tell the story of the Cromenockle, which may be Tabitha’s destiny in From.
