Every Upcoming Movie Reboot
Summary Reboots have become a major trend in the film industry, with franchises from different genres being brought back to life and expanded upon.
Some successful recent reboots include Spider-Man, The Batman, Halloween, and Scream, showing that reboots can inject new life into franchises and introduce new protagonists.
Upcoming reboots include Saw X, The Exorcist: Believer, Wonka, Red Sonja, Blade, Fantastic Four, Final Destination 6: Bloodlines, and The Chronicles of Narnia.
The film industry is continuing to riding the wave of reboots as a variety of movie reboots are in development or releasing soon. The entertainment industry is defined by trends, and one dominating the big screen is reboots. Through reboots, different franchises have been brought back to life, particularly in the horror genre, and in many cases it has been mixed with sequels, making way for what’s now known as a “requel”. Surely, not all reboots have been successful, but that hasn’t stopped the film industry from producing more and more from different genres.
Some successful movie reboots in recent years across different genres are the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man trilogy, Warner Bros.’ The Batman, David Gordon Green’s Halloween trilogy, and Scream (2022), along with its sequels. Reboots have not only been used to bring franchises and universes back to life but also to expand on the stories of their main characters and introduce a new generation of protagonists, so there’s a lot of room for creativity. It’s not surprising, then, that there are various movie reboots coming in the near future.
