Liz soon became his new girlfriend but split before the Tell All. The couple’s relationship didn’t just end there. Big Ed and Liz got back together after each of their dozen splits. Things finally ended when Big Ed called off their August 2023.

Liz shared her thoughts on Big Ed saying he is looking for a “nice conservative Christian woman” he wants to date next. Liz replied, “Well, Christian women are taught to be submissive, so I wouldn’t be shocked.” Liz also had some advice for any woman who’d want to be Big Ed’s next girlfriend after her. “Just run,” was Liz’s short yet meaningful response.

At first, Liz spoke about Big Ed being a “good friend” but not a good partner. However, she mentioned that she doesn’t see herself ever “being friends with Ed” let alone getting back together with him. According to Liz, she had her closure at the Tell All with her ex and that’s where she wants things to stay. She referred to Big Ed as a “closed chapter.” Liz added, “I don’t really have words for him.” Liz spoke at length about how selfish of a person Big Ed is. He is someone who truly wants the best for himself because he “only loves himself.”

Liz recalled telling Big Ed to be the best version of himself in Arkansas after their breakup. Liz wants Big Ed to show some growth if he does meet someone new, but then again, she pointed out how there’s a reason why Big Ed has been single for almost 30 years. Liz couldn’t change it despite her having put in so much effort, and she thinks it’ll be difficult for him to find someone who will be successful at it. Liz also touched upon why she wanted to get back together with him immediately after he called off the wedding.

Liz explained that once one gets comfortable in a situation, it becomes hard to leave. This explanation applies to every single time that she and Big Ed got back together after their 15 or so splits. Liz wanted to badly prove to the world that what they had was real as opposed to what 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? viewers had to say. Liz wanted to desperately make the relationship work until it reached its breaking point and Big Ed himself pulled the plug. After all, Big Ed is already open to finding a replacement for Liz.
