Welcome to Plathville star Moriah Plath's ex-boyfriend, Max Kallschmidt, has had a lot of life updates since he and Moriah broke up. Moriah and Max got together in 2020, and Max first appeared in Welcome to Plathville season 2. Their love story continued in season 3, where Max even gave Moriah a promise ring and won over fans and the Plath family. Max & Moriah Are No Longer Together

Moriah and Max were together for just over a year when they broke up in 2021. The split happened when TLC star Moriah was 19, and Max was 21. The breakup shook Welcome to Plathville viewers because all they had seen up until the shocking reveal was a picture-perfect couple who was madly in love. Moriah confided in her brother Micah Plath about what really went on in the breakup and how Max didn't tell her the whole truth about his cheating at first.

"It hurts me and pisses me off to see you hurt," Micah said to Moriah.

Max maintained a great relationship with the Plath family while he and Moriah were together, and several scenes showed Moriah's siblings' fondness for Max. Moriah's sister Lydia even asked Moriah if she could keep in contact with Max after their bad breakup, much to Moriah's dismay.

Max's actions soured the Plath kids' perception of Max, however.

Welcome to Plathville season 6 recently premiered and aired its second episode, and Max made an appearance — but only in Moriah's memories. When Moriah was talking about her recent mysterious heartbreak she reflected back to other points of growth in her life, and one of those visual flashbacks put on the screen was a moment when Moriah and Max were happy in love. Other than the reflection, it looks like Max will have no further part in season 6. Moriah has had a series of back luck in relationships, with Max being the first.

Max Has A Family Of His Own Now

Max appears to have completely moved on from his wrongdoing and relationship with Moriah since he is in a new relationship with a built-in family. In a since-deleted post, Max debuted his new blonde partner, Mckayle Buckley, in mid-May 2023 in professional photos where he was holding a child reported to be his partner's daughter. Max captioned, "Simple, peaceful, happy." Furthermore, Max shared engagement photos in August 2023, along with a tribute to his future wife and stepdaughter.

In 2024, Max is off of social media, although he was not a heavy social media user to begin with. With so much negativity likely being thrown his way online, he might have gotten off Instagram to avoid the criticism. However, Mckayle is on Instagram. While she does no post regularly, she did make a post on July 22, 2024, which was a video of Max and her daughter Esther playing outside in the rain.

Max and Mckayle don't appear to have tied the knot since their engagement last year, but they are still in a very serious relationship.

Max is no longer a cast member on Welcome to Plathville now that he and Moriah are no longer together. In fact, Max has become more of a villain-like character from the hit TLC reality show. Whether he will return to play any part in Moriah's healing journey is unknown, but it's doubtful now that he's moved on. Welcome to Plathville fans can look forward to a wild-looking season as Moriah heals from more heartbreak and has plenty of surprises in store for viewers.
