Genshin Impact: I'm Excited With New Ororon Character's Full Potential
I have found myself particularly excited for Ororon’s full potential as a character in Genshin Impact 5.2 thanks to new leaks that thoroughly described his gameplay kit. Developer HoYoverse has confirmed that Ororon is one of the new playable characters being added to the action RPG with Version 5.2, alongside Chasca. Ororon has been presented as an upcoming Natlan character, but now his release date is imminent and, with it, new team comp possibilities arise because of the abilities he provides. There have already been Genshin Impact 5.2 character banner leaks detailing that Ororon will be a 4-star character.
Several leaks about the update are starting to emerge because the beta tests for Version 5.2 have started as Version 5.1 has finally been patched into the game. The leaks include the new map areas rumored to complement Natlan, as well as events that may take players away from the Nation of Pyro in the confirmed absence of new Archon Quests during the update. Logically, the gameplay kits for the new upcoming characters Chasca and Ororon have also leaked, and the details provided by the rumored 4-star character seem enticing, as he allegedly breaks some patterns in Genshin Impact 5.2.
Ororon’s Kit In Genshin Impact 5.2 Has Leaked
The Leak Describes All Of The Character’s Abilities
The entire gameplay kit for Ororon has allegedly leaked thanks to information provided by the leaker known as HomDGCat. The details were then shared in a post flagged as “Reliable” on Reddit. The leak details Ororon’s complete gameplay kit, including his active abilities, his passive skills, his Constellations, and the damage percentual and extra calculations made for each part of his kit. The leak also shows the materials needed for Ororon’s Ascension, as well as the complete upgrade of his Talents so that players can start pre-farming, including the item dropped from the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant in Genshin Impact.
Those who choose to pre-farm Ororon’s materials should be wary that the leaked items are highly susceptible to change during the beta, meaning some of their efforts could be rendered useless.
Ororon’s Abilities In Genshin Impact, Described
The Character Is Rumored To Be A 4-Star Electro Bow User
Leaks indicate that Ororon is a 4-star Electro character who uses a bow in combat. The leaked gameplay kit states that his Normal Attack sees him fire up to three consecutive shots with his bow. With his leaked Charged Attack, he charges the Aimed Shot, which deals Electro DMG. This seems to be in line with the standard for most bow characters – Sethos has a unique rotation with his Normal and Charged Attacks, breaking the regular pattern, for example, but Ororon’s leaked abilities seem to match characters like Fischl in Genshin Impact.
The leak also describes Ororon’s Elemental Skill. With it, Ororon allegedly throws a Graffiti Bomb, which ricochets against nearby enemies for Electro DMG. This Graffiti Bomb is rumored to stop after it hits thrice or if there are no other enemies on the field. At C0 (Constellation level 0), the Graffiti Bomb can only ricochet off an opponent one time, according to the leak. This number is increased to five hits with Ororon’s C1, which also increases the DMG opponent’s take from a passive effect called Electric Induction in Genshin Impact – this will soon be described.
Related Genshin Impact 5.2 Leaks Show Chasca Will Beat Wanderer In Every Aspect The first detailed aspects of Chasca’s gameplay kit in Genshin Impact 5.2 have leaked, and she may be better than Wanderer in everything.
Ororon’s leaked Elemental Burst sees the character summon something called a Psionic Eye, which deals AoE Electro DMG upon arrival. This Psionic Eye allegedly has two distinct effects. The first of them is taunting opponents and forcing them to direct their attacks toward the Psionic Eye and away from nearby allies. The second effect sees the Psionic Eye fire soundwaves and spin around, dealing extra Electro DMG to enemies that it touches. The leaked Psionic Eye is rumored to last for nine seconds, meaning it could be used as an off-field ability in Genshin Impact.
The leak mentions that Ororon’s first Ascension passive Talent helps him recover 40 Nightsoul Points whenever a party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst. Additionally, for 15 seconds after using his Skill, Ororon recovers 5 Nightsoul Points after a character other than himself deals Electro or Hydro DMG to opponents. This effect can be triggered up to 10 times and Nightsoul Points can be recovered in this manner once every 0.3 seconds.
The passive Talent also sees that after enemies are hit with Electro-Charged or by Nightsoul-aligned attacks (from other characters), and if Ororon has 10 or more Nightsoul Points, Ororon enters the Nightsoul’s Blessing state for six seconds and triggers the aforementioned Electric Induction effect. This deals Electro DMG equal to 130% of his ATK to up to four nearby opponents for the cost of 10 Nightsoul Points. This effect can be triggered once every 1.8 seconds in Genshin Impact.
Related You Can't Miss Genshin Impact 5.2's Events One of the events in Genshin Impact 5.2 may be responsible for giving out a free and very rare cosmetic item to players who complete it in due time.
The leak says that his second Ascension passive Talent is triggered for 15 seconds after using his Elemental Skill. During the period, the active party member restores 3 Elemental Energy after attacking with Electro or Hydro DMG. If Ororon is off the field, he will also restore 3 Elemental Energy. The effect can be triggered once every second and up to three times throughout the duration of the effect. His Natlan Talent allows him to leap up high when he triggers Nightsoul Transmission – he may be the Natlan character in Genshin Impact with the worst mobility so far.
Succinctly, Ororon’s leaked Constellations allow his own abilities to deal more damage and operate at a higher level, but, most importantly, his C6 gives his teammates an ATK bonus after he consumes Nightsoul Points via his first Ascension passive Talent. This further confirms that Ororon should operate as a support in addition to his role as an off-field sub-DPS in team comps. This is why I am excited by Ororon’s leaked kit in Genshin Impact.
Why Ororon’s Leaked Kit In Genshin Impact Is So Good
The Character Can Be A Great Support For Some Team Comps
Close
Essentially, it seems like Ororon will be a new Electro sub-DPS and support unit. There are already a few characters who operate in this role, such as Raiden Shogun and Fischl, but Ororon seems like a great new alternative. With the proper team comp revolving around Electro and Hydro DMG, Ororon can consistently help with the team’s damage output from off the field, and with his passive Talent, he can be a good support for Electro-Charged teams, much like Chevreuse from Genshin Impact is to Overloaded team comps.
In activities that rely on more team comps, Ororon will be a good character to have, being a viable unit for a secondary team comp while Raiden Shogun is in the primary team, for instance. Design-wise, Ororon should also be the first male off-field Electro sub-DPS with a tall body type. He is also one of the first male off-field characters in a long time since the last releases to occupy this role were Mika and Baizhu.
Related Genshin Impact Leaks Are Bad News For Iansan Fans & At Least One Other Character Iansan’s release in Genshin Impact may have been leaked and it could be pushed back by several updates – and this includes another character, too.
The leaks about Ororon’s kit should be considered with caution as reliable as they may seem. While it feels unlikely that the kit will suffer any drastic changes to its concept, the specific stats provided by the leak, such as the amount of Energy regenerated or Nightsoul Point consumption are still highly subject to change as the character undergoes tests leading up to Genshin Impact 5.2.
