The weapon in question is the chainsaw, and if used during a sprint attack, it would launch players across the map, which was not its intended purpose.

Epic was quick to discontinue the sprint attack while they worked on a resolution. However, this left some fans enraged, as the chainsaw is one of the most popular weapons in the game as of right now.

According to Logan Moore, the bug in question would cause players to skyrocket through the air if they attempted to use the chainsaw midair during a sprint attack. This glitch was quickly addressed by Epic, with FortniteStatus releasing their statement on X about how the sprint attack had been disabled.

This is a sentiment I agree with, and I think that while the glitch could be annoying or frustrating, I don't think that removing the attack as a whole is the solution, especially during an event that is supposed to be more fun than anything else. The best solution is to implement the chainsaw sprint attack back into the game, glitches and all, before the end of this limited-time Fortnite event.
