Rockstar announced that Red Dead Redemption is finally coming to PC, a reveal that blew the minds of many, and likely felt like a disappointment to some. This is because Red Dead Redemption's PC port may actually be bad news for the next major trailer for GTA 6, especially considering the timing of the announcement. So, it's understandable that fans thought that another GTA 6 trailer may drop during the month, especially considering Rockstar's track record.

Of course, Rockstar will want to avoid overshadowing the release of Red Dead Redemption on PC by dropping a trailer for GTA 6 just a few weeks or even days before.

It's perhaps now unlikely that a GTA 6 trailer will drop in October, which will be disappointing for many, especially those who are concerned by the reports that it won't run well. There is always a chance that fans will be surprised, but it's not really worth getting excited about, especially as Rockstar is likely saving the next trailer for later this year, perhaps even for the Game Awards. It's a bittersweet scenario, as Red Dead Redemption fans will get to enjoy the PC port, while Grand Theft Auto 6 fans are left still waiting for that legendary gameplay trailer to drop.
