The loony sandbox shooter is set to launch on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on October 15, giving console players a chance to finally dive in and start collecting those golden acorns while using a rocket launcher to send your squirrel avatar flying across the map. Priced at $20, players can also get a small discount if they pre-order on Xbox or if they are a PS Plus member and pre-order before launch.

The devs are likely to fix these bugs before the console launch based on how responsive they've been since launch. The team behind this passion project is small, but it looks like updates will be coming to address some of the technical hiccups.

Ultimately, Squirrel with a Gun is worth checking out on consoles when it releases later this month for the zany fun.
