Beatles Biopics: Paul Mescal Addresses Paul McCartney Casting Rumors

Paul Mescal has addressed rumors that he's been cast as Paul McCartney in The Beatles biopics, revealing if he's been approached for the role. In February 2024, director Sam Mendes was confirmed to be directing four separate biopics about each member of The Beatles, with one film focused on every band member. The movies are expected to be theatrically released in 2027, with the same actors playing each member across all four movies. In a June 2024 report on The Beatles movies, it was rumored that Mescal had been approached for the role of McCartney in these biopics.
Speaking with GQ, however, Mescal definitively addressed whether he'll be playing Paul in The Beatles biopics from Sam Mendes, stating, "I would love to be involved, but there’s nothing set in stone." This indicates the actor has not been approached for the role, meaning he may not be portraying the musician despite rumors to the contrary. However, it doesn't mean he won't be considered, since the films are still in the early stages of production.
