Carry-On Soundtrack: Every Song In The Movie
Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Carry-On!
Netflix's Carry-On is finally here, and here is a full breakdown of the film's soundtrack and every song that appears. Netflix's Carry-On is a new crime thriller starring Taron Egerton and Jason Bateman, with the tense film coming from The Shallows director Jaume Collet-Serra. Despite the film's high stakes and serious tone, Carry-On is also a Christmas movie, with it featuring trees, snow, lights, and many other pieces of Christmas iconography. Like any good Christmas movie, Carry-On also features a lot of Christmas music, with plenty of iconic holiday songs making their way into the film.
2024's Carry-On follows Taron Egerton's Ethan Kopek, a TSA agent who gets the opportunity to finally monitor the bag check at the airport ahead of Christmas Day. Unfortunately, this is also the day that Jason Bateman's mysterious villain (known only as the Traveler) appears, with him telling Ethan that he must let a mysterious bag pass through security unchecked. If Ethan fails to do this, his wife will die. Unaware of the dangers that lie in the bag, Ethan has to figure out how to stop the criminals without making them aware that he is not cooperating.

"Santa Claus is Coming to Town" by Bruce Springsteen - "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" is a classic Christmas song that was first recorded in 1934, and while there have been countless covers of the hit, the version heard in Netflix's Carry-On is one that Bruce Springsteen performed live at C.W. Post College in Greenvale, New York in December 1975. Carry-On opens with this song, with it playing over images of clouds as an airplane lands, revealing the airport setting that makes up the bulk of the film.
"Holly Jolly Christmas" by Michael Bublé - The second song that plays in Carry-On is another popular cover of a beloved Christmas song. Michael Bublé's cover of "Holly Jolly Christmas" continues the legacy of the iconic holiday song that was written in 1962 and popularized by Burl Ives' cover in 1964. In Carry-On, the song plays shortly after "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" ends, with Ethan and his wife Nora listening to it in the car while they are driving to the airport and discussing the future of their family.

"Doo Wop Christmas" by Kenny Vance and the Planotones - One of the lesser-known holiday songs that appears on the Carry-On soundtrack is titled "Doo Wop Christmas" and performed by Kenny Vance and the Planotones. The song plays during one of Carry-On's most comedic scenes, with it scoring the montage in which the TSA agents struggle to deal with upset and demanding holiday travelers. The song plays behind the screaming travelers and panicked TSA agents, with it being possible that some Carry-On viewers missed this one.
"Last Christmas" by Wham! - The 1984 holiday hit "Last Christmas" also appears in Carry-On, with no holiday film being complete without the Wham! classic appearing. The song appears in Carry-On's most complex action scene, in which Officer Elena Cole and the fake Agent Alcott realize each other's identities. The ensuing fight takes place in a speeding car, with them crashing into various other vehicles and objects before the fight and the car comes to a rest.

The song begins playing after Carry-On's one-year time jump, with Ethan and his family reappearing in the airport, revealing that Ethan has become a police officer, and beginning their vacation to Tahiti. The song continues to play throughout the credits of Carry-On, tying a bow on Netflix's new Christmas movie.
