This area also adds the phenomena called Prisma Disruptions, viewed as rainbow shimmers that can affect both the environment and resources around them.

With a whole new area also comes wonderful new slimes, some of which cannot even be ranched, giving players new plorts to sell and slimes to discover. Plenty of new upgrades make the gameplay even better too, with 6 key vacpack and player-specific upgrades required for players to enter and explore the Grey Labyrinth to its full glory. All of that is perfectly tied off with the introduction of the person who summoned Beatrix to Rainbow Island, giving players a deeper dive into the full narrative for the first time.

Slime Rancher 2 might be on the slower side with new updates, but each one adds substantial new additions to the game that make them worth the wait. With its previous update delivering 36 new gadgets, crafting materials, and free object placement, it's clear the Monomi Park team is taking on audience feedback and working on what matters. This Into The Labyrinth update especially proves that the team is far from finished with what they have to add either, giving players a massively fleshed-out game even in its early access state.
