Harold Perrineau’s Renewed 96% RT Horror TV Show Has To Finally End A Disappointing 14-Year Streak After Lost’s Ending
WARNING! This article contains SPOILERS for From's season 3 finale!Harold Perrineau’s acclaimed horror show From is officially returning for season 4, which can fulfill a long-awaited wish for the actor’s new projects in the time since Lost came to an end. When Lost finally ended after six seasons in 2010, there was plenty of anticipation to see what the main cast would be doing next after starring in one of the most popular primetime sci-fi mystery shows of all time. Not to mention, whether those actors would be seen together again on the small screen in different projects.
After starring as Michael Dawson in Lost, Harold Perrineau is back in the spotlight as he leads the cast of From, the hit MGM+ horror mystery show also executive produced by Lost director Jack Bender and writer Jeff Pinkner. Not only does From share cast and crew members from Lost, but the two shows have also drawn numerous comparisons with their trapped-location settings, supernatural mysteries, character twists, and sci-fi horror story beats. Therefore, it’s been disappointing that Perrineau is still the only Lost actor to show up in From – but season 4’s renewal could finally help break that streak.
From Season 4 Should Finally Reunite Harold Perrineau With Lost Actors On A TV Show
Perrineau Hasn't Reunited With His Former Main Lost Co-Stars On The Small Screen

Since the series' ending, Harold Perrineau has yet to reunite with one of his main Lost co-stars on the small screen. The closest he came to this was with the 2014 movie Sabotage, in which he reunited with Lost’s Sawyer actor Josh Holloway. Additionally, while there has been a surprising number of Lost actors who appeared in Sons of Anarchy, including Perrineau, he was never paired up with any of the major original cast members. Of course, Perrineau has appeared in the same shows as some supporting or guest Lost actors, such as with Nathan Fillion on The Rookie.

Though Lost had a huge ensemble cast full of actors who continued to have successful careers after the show, there was never a project as perfectly primed for a main cast reunion until MGM+’s From. Not only is Perrineau in the lead of this series, but it also shares executive producers and has a comparable premise and tone. If any Harold Perrineau project should be able to fulfill a small-screen reunion with Lost actors like Holloway, Matthew Fox, Naveen Andrews, Jorge Garcia, Evangeline Lily, and Daniel Dae Kim, it’s From.

After From season 3’s ending, there are plenty more mysteries to explore and plots to introduce, which makes way for additional characters to be cast in the show’s ensemble. Similar to when Lost expanded its ensemble through the Others, those on the boat, various flashbacks from the characters’ pasts, the alternate timeline, and various jumps between past, present, and future timelines, From season 4 has several potential avenues for how to get Harold Perrineau’s former Lost co-stars on the show at its disposal.

From Has Various New Timelines To Explore

While From season 2 kicked off with a huge expansion of its cast due to the arrival of an entire bus full of people becoming trapped in the mysterious Fromville location, season 3 didn’t introduce as many new figures. Rather, this was largely contained to the introduction of Henry’s father, Victor, in Maine, the arrival of the new police officer, Acosta, on the ambulance, and the ominous Man in Yellow in From season 3’s final moments. However, the revelations from the season 3 finale open several more doors for new characters who could potentially be played by Lost actors.
Considering Boyd interacted with Martin in the dungeons, it’s still possible for Perrineau to act opposite a new character from a past timeline.
For instance, Tabitha and Jade’s discovery of their past lives and reincarnations throughout Fromville’s history sets up season 4 to explore different eras from the past. Whether that be during their original forms when the children were sacrificed, in past eras when their other reincarnations failed to save the children, or during the time when Miranda and Christopher were still alive, Jade and Tabitha’s intertwined history provides some great opportunities for new stories and characters. Harold Perrineau Reunited With Lost's Josh Calloway & Daniel Dae Kim For A Talk Show In 2019
Could Josh Calloway & Daniel Dae Kim Wind Up On From?
Though they haven’t co-starred in a TV show since Lost, Harold Perrineau has still reunited with some of these actors off-screen over the years. For instance, Perrineau, Calloway, and Jin actor Daniel Dae Kim reunited in 2019 when appearing on Drop the Mic, a rap battle segment in James Corden’s The Late Late Show. Since that time, Perrineau has noted that he’s still in touch with Kim and Calloway, so it would be fantastic to see that talk show reunion expanded on with one or both of those actors making an appearance in From.
