It's Official: Disney Will Turn Mickey Mouse Into an Avenger in a New Marvel Crossover

That's right, next year Mickey Mouse and his closest friends are going to become the Avengers in a new one-shot from Marvel Comics. After a handful of other Marvel/Disney adventures, the fun goes on with a comic that turns the famous and lovable cartoon characters into the Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Marvel Comics broke the news that it would be publishing another one-shot story that reinterprets Disney's iconic characters as superheroes in the upcoming one-shot story, Marvel & Disney: What If...? Mickey & Friends Became the Avengers #1 by Luca Barbieri, Steve Behling, and Alessandro Pastrovicchio.

The comic will retell the iconic Avengers #1 by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee, and thanks to the cover, fans got a quick peek at everyone's roles. Mickey Mouse leads the team as Iron Man, Minnie is Wasp, Goofy is Hulk, Donald Duck is Thor, Pluto is Ant-Man, and the unseen Gladstone Gander is Loki.
