Indiana Jones & The Great Circle: How To Solve The Gold & Silver Path Forges
There are plenty of puzzles in Indiana Jones & The Great Circle, but two of the most confusing to solve are the ones associated with the Silver and Gold Forges. These two areas are found on separate paths under the Fountain of Confession area. To progress the story, you need to find the solutions to both Forges, whose raging fires could spell a quick end if you aren't careful.
The hidden route under the Fountain of Confession leads to the Monastery Courtyard area after a trapped hallway of swinging blades. Making it past the Chamber of Tribulations leads to a locked door, which can only be opened once two mechanisms have been activated. These devices can be reached through the Silver and Gold Dragon Paths, with each hosting a puzzle tied to fiery forges in both locations.

The Gold Dragon Path leads to the Gold Forge, which is to the right of the main locked door in the Monastery Courtyard. Your objective here is to turn on the Gold Forge to make the Gold Key, one of the two items needed to unlock the path forward. Once you take the right path to start the Gold Forge puzzle, continue down the hall in this area until you see a stone wall with a hole you can crawl through.

Here are some simplified steps for solving the Gold Forge puzzle in Indiana Jones & The Great Circle:
Place The Ancient Bust On A Pedestal Use Chains to Move Pillars Until They Create Flames Use Whip to Swing Onto A Pillar Have Gina Move the Pillar Near the Upper Hole in the Gold Forge Climb Into the Upper Wall Hole Drop Into Hole In The Floor Use Chains In the New Room To Adjust the Remaining Pillars Pull Lever To Activate Gold Forge Create the Gold Key
Crawl through the wall and place the Ancient Bust on a nearby pedestal to unlock the rest of the Gold Dragon path. Going up some stairs here will reveal a chain you can pull to reveal the Gold Forge, a hot room with fire coming from underneath several steel grates lining the floor of the room. Four pillars hang from the ceiling here, which you need to move to certain positions.
Make sure you have completed side missions to improve your health and stamina by the time you reach the Gold or Silver Forges. The fire here can greatly injure Indiana, so be careful walking around either space.
By walking to the other end of this room, you can see another locked door you have to open. On the left side of this door, you can see a narrow path with chains that control the positions of the pillars in the Forge room. To start, use the chains in this path to move pillars into positions where fire appears under them.
When you've done this, attach your whip to a pole near the ceiling, then climb up it and jump onto one of the pillars. At this point, your companion Gina will move the pillar toward a hole in the upper wall, which you can use your whip to climb towards. Go inside the hole in the wall, then jump down the hole in the floor to end up in another hallway with chains controlling the remaining pillars.
Make every pillar have flames under them by adjusting their position with the remaining chains. On the right side of the hallway you dropped into, another chain can now be pulled to open a path back into the main Forge. Here, you can use the lever within the Forge to now open the locked door, completing its puzzle and allowing you to activate the Gold Forge to create the Gold Key.
How To Solve The Silver Path Forge
Don't Get Burned
The left path from the Monastery Courtyard leads to the Silver Dragon path, an area you may want to scout first with your camera in Indiana Jones & The Great Circle. This area is a single room much larger than the Gold Forge, with a large altar at its center. Steel grates line the ground far below three platforms - one at the center and two more at the right and left ends of this location.
Here is a breakdown for each step to solve the Silver Forge puzzle:
Find the Stone Tablet Place the Stone Tablet in the Main Altar Swing to Another Stone Tablet Shrine Give the Stone Tablet To Gina Use Nearby Ledges to Climb Back to the Main Altar Swing To Shrine at Opposite End of the Silver Forge Get the Tablet from Gina Place Stone Tablet in Shrine Swing Back to the Main Altar Leave Silver Forge and Create the Silver Key
Before you enter this room, pick up the Stone Tablet from a skeleton. When you're ready, place the Tablet in a slot within the main altar. This causes the Forge to start, lighting the room on fire and locking you inside behind iron bars. You have to activate all the altars in the room with stone tablets to find a way out without Indiana getting burnt to a crisp.
Indiana moves much slower when carrying a Stone Tablet. Since you have a limited time to solve the Silver Path Forge before the room catches on fire, you have to be decisive to overcome this limitation in your mobility.
Use your whip to swing to the platform away from the main altar to find another stone tablet lying on a shrine. Take this Tablet and hand it to Gina between the iron bars of the room. At this point, you can climb a collapsed pillar and hang from a ledge lined with ancient pottery. Shuffle along this ledge until you reach the main altar's platform again, then drop onto this place safe from the fire.
Similar to other mysteries in Indiana Jones & The Great Circle, you have to rely on your trusting whip once again. Use your whip to swing to the shrine to the other side of the main altar and retrieve the Tablet you gave to Gina. Place that tablet in a shrine identical to the one where you found it. Doing this will cause the flames to strengthen, but lower the iron bars and allow you to escape.
After swinging back to the main altar, go past the iron bars and through the opened gate that was locked in the Silver Forge before. Going through here, you can activate the Silver Forge as a reward for completing its puzzle. This process manufactures the Silver Key, the last item you need to progress through this underground area.
