This article covers a developing story. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available.

The third installment in Sony's Spider-Verse franchise, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, officially finds its directors. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was released four and a half years after Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse's original release date was March 2024 — only one year after its predecessor. The Spider-Verse sequel was delayed indefinitely, though the team continued to work on the project, with producer and writer Christopher Miller confirming that Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse's production was underway in September 2024.

Three months after Christopher Miller's last update, Deadline confirms that Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has found its two directors, Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson, both of whom had already played key roles in the previous movies. Persichetti co-directed and executive-produced Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Thompson was the production designer for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and co-directed Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The official Spider-Verse account on X confirmed the news:
