With season 1 still continuing to make waves in the streaming landscape, the latest news confirms that Netflix has renewed A Man on the Inside for a second season. The Ted Danson vehicle currently sits at an impressive 95% on Rotten Tomatoes (with an audience score of over 90%), and the reviews weren't the only reason the series was swiftly renewed. Finding itself on Netflix's global top 10 for three straight weeks, it's safe to say that A Man on the Inside is a hit in every sense of the word.

With many of its flagship shows (Wednesday, Stranger Things, Etc.) stretching on with huge gaps between seasons, A Man on the Inside is being positioned as a yearly series for the streamer.

Though the full plans for season 2 of the Michael Schur (The Good Place) comedy haven't been announced yet, it's pretty clear that A Man on the Inside fills a crucial hole in Netflix's schedule. Having wrapped up the jewelry "theft" in the season 1 finale, Charles also faced his own sad past when visiting "The Neighborhood." This brought up painful memories about his late wife, but he was able to power through and find closure.
