David Murphey, who appeared in 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 4 in 2020, passed away in December 2024 at the age of 66 after a long battle with health issues. During the season, David was featured alongside his Ukrainian girlfriend, Lana.

On December 18, 2024, David's family made the unfortunate announcement of his death on Instagram. They used David's Instagram profile to share the message, revealing that he had "passed away at home on December 11, 2024, after experiencing health issues over the last several years." David's family members shared he was 66 years old at the time of his passing.
