The House of the Dragon season 3 filming start window has been confirmed. The Game of Thrones spinoff series released its second season this summer. The sophomoric effort was met with mixed reviews from audiences, many of whom were frustrated by the House of the Dragon season 2 finale. Nonetheless, the series is confirmed to have a third season, which will continue the story of the inter-Targaryen struggle for power. House of the Dragon season 3 is currently expected to release in 2026.

Showrunner Ryan Condal reveals the filming timeline for House of the Dragon season 3 on The Stuff Dreams are Made Of podcast. According to the showrunner, the filming on the project will start in the first quarter of 2025 and end in late fall.
