Eddie Redmayne will return as the Jackal in The Day of the Jackal season 2. Earlier this month, Peacock and Sky officially gave the green light for the hitman drama series led by Redmayne and Lashana Lynch. Based on Frederick Forsyth's novel, Ronan Bennett's adaptation features a massive book change in the season 1 finale and sees the lead characters' fates depart from the book.

According to Deadline, the streamer and British broadcaster confirmed Redmayne's return as the titular hitman in The Day of the Jackal season 2.
