Mina Sundwall's 10 Best Movies & TV Shows Ranked
Mina Sundwall is only in the early stages of her career in movies and on television, but she's already accumulated a significant number of memorable and impressive performances. Born on October 23, 2001, Mina Sundwall got her career started early, appearing in an episode of Celebrity Ghost Stories at the age of 11. This was followed by a two-year gap before she earned two more roles, in A Good Marriage and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Since then, Sundwall has regularly worked in film and TV, even starring in some of her projects.
Sundwall has had what is, in comparison to other actors who debuted in the 2010s, an unusually classical path to success. With streaming services offering new movies and TV shows at an almost unsustainable rate, young actors have found themselves thrust into the spotlight after only one or two performances. Sundwall is a little different. She got her start very young, appearing in small parts in network shows. Over the years, she's got herself involved in bigger and bigger parts. It feels like a slow-moving, but powerful start to her career and bodes well for the future.

A Stephen King adaptation based on his novella of the same name that appeared in the 2010 collection, Full Dark, No Stars, A Good Marriage, is a psychological thriller that follows a couple, Darcy (Joan Allen) and Bob Anderson (Anthony LaPaglia). After many years of marital bliss, Darcy uncovers a horrifying secret about her husband and she must decide what to do with the man who she thought was a completely different person.
Full Dark, No Stars also includes the novella 1922, which was turned into a Netflix film starring Thomas Jane and Molly Parker.
Mina Sundwall has an uncredited role as a Young Petra, a character played by Kristen Connolly in the present. Sundwall only briefly appears in the movie in a flashback but in that small amount of screen time, she effectively makes it clear who she is supposed to be the younger version of. That's not an easy task for any actor, much less one who has only recently entered her teens.

Celebrity Ghost Stories is one of the many celebrity-fueled paranormal reality shows that people just can't seem to get enough of. A&E's Celebrity Ghost Stories stands above others in the genre as the original version of these shows. Over its six seasons, various celebrities would come on to talk about paranormal events in their lives, which would then be depicted in a reenactment.
Related Angelina Jolie's 10 Best '90s Movies Ranked Angelina Jolie has been at the center of popular culture for decades but it was the '90s when the young actress' star really began to rise in film.
Mina Sundwall appeared in Season 4, episode 13, which features Victoria Rowell, Dot Jones, Carlos Mencia, and Linda Blair. Sundwall plays a young girl named Kathy in the reenactment segment. As a reenactor, Sundwall barely has any lines, but she has an effective screen presence that makes the ghost story that much more fun and creeping. It's by no means a major role, and her screen time is short, but it proves how comfortable she was in front of a camera even from an early age.

Plenty of notable actors have appeared on Law & Order: SVU in guest capacities either at the beginning of their careers or in the middle of it for a real surprise. Mina Sundwall takes her turn on the long-running series in season 16, episode 6, "Glasgowman's Wrath". The episode is loosely based on the "Slender Man stabbing" from May 2014, which was allegedly inspired by the video game character of the same name.
Sundwall plays Mia Harris, a young girl who goes with her younger sister, Zoe (Oona Laurence), and their friend, Peery (Chloe Csengery) to the park at night to investigate the mystery of the "Glasgowman". When Zoe turns up the next morning with stabbing injuries, the Law & Order crew begins investigating. This is Sundwall's first major role and, for the front half of the episode, she acts as the group's leader, playing the annoying big sister, and the brave older girl very well.

Freeheld is a 2015 drama film based on the 2007 documentary short film of the same name. The story follows a police officer, Laurel Hester (Julianne Moore), who fights against Ocean County, New Jersey's Board of Chosen Freeholders to ensure her pension and benefits go to her partner, Stacie Andree (Elliot Page), after she's diagnosed with terminal cancer. Eventually successful, Stacie and Laurel fight through red tape and prejudice about their lifestyle to get what they deserve.
The Freeheld documentary won the Academy Award for Best Documentary (Short Subject) at the 80th Academy Awards.
Mina Sundwall plays Maya Kelder, the daughter of Bryan Kelder (Josh Charles), a member of the Ocean County board. It's not a very big part in the film, with few speaking lines, but it once again shows Sundwall's knack for choosing interesting projects to work on. This is a small film, about a very niche topic, but Sundwall has the right, natural attitude to work within the story and bring a documentary to life.

#Horror, as its name would suggest, combines horror and modern internet culture for a Gen Z thriller. The film follows a group of wealthy 7th-grade girls who play a social media game that gets out of control, resulting in a night of terror and mayhem. Bullying and the dangers of online overexposure are at the core of #Horror and each of the girls suffers in their own way from how social media has attached itself to them so completely.
Mina Sundwall plays Francesca, one of the girls in the group who also comes over for the sleepover where the murders happen. Francesca is the type of person unwilling to explore their own personality and is instead happy to taunt from the sidelines, just happy that they're not the one being bullied. It's a funny and charmless role for Sundwall, but she is excruciatingly good as a young girl hiding her true self just to fit in better with others, ultimately leading to her downfall.

Jesus Revolution is based on the autobiographical book of the same name by Greg Laurie. It follows the teenage Greg (Joel Courtney), a Christian hippie named Lonnie Frisbee (Jonathan Roumie), and a pastor named Chuck Smith (Kelsey Grammer) who go to California in the late 1960s to participate in the Jesus movement. The movement was an evangelical Christian movement that saw a mainstream spread of Christian culture and practices, which began on the West Coast of the United States.
Mina Sundwall has a smaller part in the film as Dodie, Cathe's (Anna Grace Barlow) sister. Cathe falls in love with Greg, and introduces him to drugs as a way to connect him to himself and God. Dodie's major scene comes when she gets sick after overdosing at a Janis Joplin concert. While it's a small part for Sundwall, her ability to bring life to the smallest characters is never more apparent than in Jesus Revolution. She doesn't overact the overdose, making the sequence grim, but never harrowing, perfectly finding the correct tone.

In Legends of Tomorrow, a spin-off of Arrow and The Flash, a time-traveling, roguish adventurer, Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) assembles a ragtag team of heroes and villains to prevent an apocalypse that threatens to destroy the world, as well as the understanding of time itself. Mina Sundwall appeared in eight episodes between seasons 5 and 6. She plays Lita, Mick (Dominic Purcell) and Ali's (Lisa Marie DiGiacinto) daughter, who they did not know existed.
Angered at being abandoned by her parents when she was little, Mick and Lita's reunion is a chilly one. Ava (Jes Macallan) attempts to bond the pair by taking them to important moments in both their lives. Though that fails to make things better, eventually, the two come to an understanding. Sundwall fits in well among the super-powered characters in Legends of Tomorrow and her hurt and anger feel real and powerful. She's not whiny or unpleasant, just unwilling to let her father off the hook for his past failures.

Lost in Space is a reimagining of the 1965 series of the same name, itself a version of the 1812 novel, The Swiss Family Robinson. In the series, set in 2046, the Robinson family is selected for a mission to colonize a distant planetary system after an event threatens to extinguish life on Earth. The family ends up crash landing on another habitable planet on the way and mother Maureen (Molly Parker), father John (Toby Stephens), son Will (Maxwell Jenkins), eldest daughter Judy (Taylor Russell), and youngest daughter Penny (Mina Sundwall) must find a way to survive.
This is Sundwall's breakout role. As Penny, Sundwall is adventurous and rebellious, keen to sneak out of her family's shelter to explore the planet despite their protests. It's an understated series that is a joy to watch because of how self-contained and simple the seemingly complex story is. Sundwall in particular is excellent. The energy she brings to the character and series helps to brighten some of the episodes that drag.
1 The Graduates (2023)
Genevieve
Your changes have been saved My List My Favorite Movies My Watchlist Success! The Graduates The Graduates is a drama film that takes place a year after the events of a tragic school shooting that Genevive (Mina Sundwall) survived, but her boyfriend did not. Where other high-schoolers would be celebrating and preparing for the next stage of their life, she, along with those who experienced the fallout, are all still trapped in a period they can't seem to escape. Release Date June 10, 2023 Runtime 87 Minutes Cast Mina Sundwall , Alex Hibbert , Yasmeen Fletcher , John Cho , Maria Dizzia Director Hannah Peterson
Mina Sundwall's first starring film role comes in the 2023 drama, The Graduates from director Hannah Peterson. Sundwall stars as Genevieve, a young woman who is preparing to graduate from high school. The previous year, her long-time boyfriend was killed in an act of gun violence and, despite having to move on, the horror and tragedy of the event have continued to stick with her. It's a delicate film, with three characters sharing the duty of a lead, but Sundwall has the lion's share of the acting.
Sundwall plays her part with a tightly wound grief that she is desperately trying to keep inside herself, to Genevieve's own detriment. There are moments of inspiration in the film as well, and watching Genevieve slowly unravel the pain inside her is a moving testament to the human spirit. Though the film dips into sentimentality, Mina Sundwall never does, treating her character like a real person, confused, unsure, but willing to go forward.
