With nearly three years already gone since the first movie came out, The Batman — Part II has landed a disappointing release date update from Warner Bros.

Deadline has brought word that Warner Bros. is moving its release calendar around, resulting in The Batman — Part II's release date being delayed. The long-awaited sequel is now hitting theaters on October 1, 2027, essentially a full year after its original October 2, 2026 date. The update does, at least, also come with a production update that the sequel is still on track for a "late summer" 2025 start and will be a "VFX-heavy production", thus necessitating the release shift.
