What Does Amber Rose's Forehead Tattoo Say? Why She Got It & Its Meaning, Explained
Model Amber Rose has a history of making controversial statements, but this time, she’s made a statement on her face, specifically with a forehead tattoo. But, tattoos aside, Rose's public person has been defined by her acting without fear of judgment, and has been open about all the events leading up to her success. Rose has discussed working as a stripper at the age of 15 to help pay for her parents' divorce, and shared on The Red Pill podcast that she once unsuccessfully tried to sell crack cocaine.
The model has certainly lived an eventful life, and seems to have no plans to slow down. Rose's ventures outside of modeling and television are far-reaching. She's active on OnlyFans and is currently one of the top earners on the platform. She’s also modeled for top-shelf brands like Louis Vuitton, appeared in several hip-hop videos, hosted radio shows like Loveline, and started several businesses. But, no matter what endeavor she’s undertaking, Rose always brings authenticity — and doesn’t apologize for it.
Amber Rose's Forehead Tattoo Says "Bash Slash"
It's Inked In Cursive
Amber Rose's forehead tattoo, which she started showing off in early 2024, says “Bash Slash” in cursive script. The model says the tattoo is dedicated to her sons, which makes sense considering their names. Rose has two sons, Sebastian "Bash" Taylor Thomaz with rapper Wiz Khalifa, and Slash Electric Alexander Edwards with Alexander “AE” Edwards. So, she combined both of her son’s names on her forehead tattoo and dedicated her ink to them. Rose also says that she plans on getting tattoos depicting each of her son’s faces once they are older (via Newsweek).
Despite criticism from social media and the press, Rose stands by her forehead tattoo. In a now-deleted series of posts on Instagram, Rose showcased her forehead ink with the caption saying, in part, “Beauty is not what's on the outside… it's what's on the inside that counts” (via People). The star believes that her appearance shouldn’t be the subject of debate or backlash.
Rose is standing by her tattoo as it symbolizes not only her devotion to her sons but is also inspired Kobe and Gianna Bryant's tragic death. In a CNN interview, Rose said,
I don’t want this to sound corny or anything but kinda after Kobe (Bryant) died, it made me reflect on my life. I don’t want people to be like, ‘Oh Kobe died and you went and got a tattoo,’ but it was kinda like that.
