Character: Knuckles the Echidna is one of the most important characters in the Sonic the Hedgehog universe, with him being a warrior member of the Echidna Tribe who was deceived into working with Dr. Robotnik, believing that he was the key to finding the Master Emerald. Knuckles started out as an adversary of Sonic and Tails, with him later joining them after discovering Robotnik's true motives. Character: Pachacamac is an elderly echidna who served as the warlord leader of the Echidna Tribe for many years, with Knuckles believing that he died during the Echidna Tribe's hunt for Longclaw in the first Sonic the Hedgehog movie. However, the Knuckles trailer revealed that Pachacamac is still alive and has seemingly made his way to Earth, with Knuckles presumably running into his former leader at some point during the series.
