Everything Revealed In Daredevil: Born Again Set Photos

Warning! This post may contain possible SPOILERS for Daredevil: Born Again

Summary Daredevil: Born Again will introduce the character White Tiger to the MCU, though it's unclear if it will be Ava or Hector Ayala (or both).

Foggy Nelson and Karen Page will be returning, confirming the reunion of the classic legal team in the upcoming series.

Wilson Fisk's mayoral campaign will play a significant role, mirroring his comic book arc which will likely showcase a divided public opinion along with a renewed rivalry with Daredevil.

Marvel Studios' Daredevil: Born Again is currently in production starring Charlie Cox as Daredevil and Vincent D'onofrio as Wilson Fisk, both reprising their roles from Netflix's original Daredevil series. To that end, various set photos have been released online, showcasing several actor returns and potential character debuts. As such, there have been quite a few teases and reveals for the upcoming MCU show that generated quite a bit of excitement.

The original Daredevil series ran for three seasons on Netflix alongside other shows such as Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage. The titular heroes all crossed over in the Defenders, and The Punisher was a spin-off from Daredevil season 2. While all the shows were canceled by 2019, Cox's Daredevil and D'onofrio's Kingin have made appearances in more recent MCU projects. Now, the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series will continue their rivalry while likely connecting the previous Netflix shows as MCU canon to a greater degree. Here's everything revealed from Daredevil: Born Again's set photos (so far).

13 New Marvel Character (White Tiger)

Will There Be More Than One?

Some of the very first Daredevil: Born Again set photos revealed that the show will debut none other than White Tiger in the MCU. A name and power set via a tiger amulet that has been passed down from family member to family member, the White Tiger is a classic Marvel vigilante most commonly associated with Ava Ayala who inherited the amulet from her brother Hector. Because the set photos revealed a White Tiger whose face was covered by a helmet, it's unclear if the MCU's White Tiger is still Hector or Ava (though perhaps both will make appearances).

12 Foggy Nelson and Karen Page Returning

The Full Trio Returns

Close

Following reports that they were signed to return, set photos have confirmed that Elden Henson's Foggy Nelsen and Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page will be returning to Daredevil: Born Again from the original Netflix series. As seen in the photos, Foggy and Karen are seen walking down the street with Matt Murdock. It serves as some very exciting confirmation that the classic legal team and trio of friends will soon be back in action in the upcoming MCU series.

11 Kingpin's Mayoral Campaign

Fisk Is Running To Become New York's Next Mayor

Having been set up by Echo's post-credits scene, Kingpin has plans to run for New York's mayor, and his campaign is confirmed to be happening in Daredevil: Born Again according to set photos. As seen in both the images that were released both before Marvel Studios' large production shift for Daredevil and after, the mayoral campaign will be in full swing with supporters, hats, newspaper articles, and more. As such, this narrative will likely mirror Kingpin's major arc from the comics where he also ran and won the election, using his new position to turn the city against vigilantism.

10 Daredevil & Kingpin Reunion

The Square Diner

Close

It's also been confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again will feature a dynamic reunion for Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk. Seen at Tribeca's Square Diner which was used in both Daredevil seasons 1 and 2, Cox's Murdock is surprisingly featured seated at a booth facing none other than Kingpin himself, suggesting some sort of temporary parley as well as the fact that Fisk likely still known Murdock and Daredevil are the same man, a revelation that was made in Daredevil season 3.

9 Matt Murdock's New Legal Offices

Nelson, Murdock & Page

The photos featuring Matt Murdock, Foggy, and Karen also feature their brand-new law offices. As seen in the final episode of Daredevil season 3, Murdock reconciles his friendship with Foggy and Karen. To that end, Foggy drew up a new name for their law firm which will apparently be realized in Daredevil: Born Again with the law offices of "Nelson, Murdock & Page".

8 Teases For New Daredevil Villain: Muse

A Deadly And Dangerous Artist

Close

Set photos and videos have also teased the MCU debut of Muse, a Daredevil villain who was introduced in more recent comics. A superhuman artist who paints with the blood of his victims, Muse is a uniquely perfect foil for Daredevil given his ability to pull in all nearby sensory information around him. To that end, set photos reveal a mural in New York that has been signed by none other than someone named Muse. While it could be just an Easter egg, the potential to see Muse as a major villain in Daredevil: Born Again would certainly be compelling.

7 Graffiti Teases A Divided New York Over Kingpin

Will Fisk Sway Enough Voters?

The mural in question is of Kingpin himself, one side depicting him as an angel from Heaven while the other sees him as a demon. This suggests a division in public opinion about Wilson Fisk and his aspirations to become New York's mayor. As such, one can imagine Fisk will be going to great lengths to sway the public in his favor.

6 A New Romance For Matt Murdock

Possibly Kirsten McDuffie

With Matt Murdock and Karen Page seemingly deciding to just be friends by the end of Daredevil season 3, new set photos see Charlie Cox's character kissing actress Margarita Levieva in a currently unknown role. However, the implication is that she's Daredevil's new love interest. To that end, Levieva may be playing Kirsten McDuffie, an assistant district attorney who falls in love with Murdock on the page.

5 A Possible Brett Mahoney Return

A Major Daredevil Ally

Set photos for Daredevil: Born Again have teased the inclusion of a character named Brett. This could very well be Detective Brett Mahoney from the previous Netflix shows, having made appearances in Daredevil, Defenders, and The Punisher as a good and honest cop who worked with both Murdock and Daredevil to bring down Kingpin, one of the few officers who hadn't been corrupted by Fisk himself and was eventually promoted to detective by the end of the Defenders saga.

4 Bullseye's New Suit

Not Yet Comic Accurate

Daredevil: Born Again set photos have also revealed Bullseye actor Wilson Bethel wearing an all-new costume. Wearing a purple and black balaclava and tactical gear, Bullseye is armed to the teeth and in a set video that sees him throwing grenades and wielding a pistol with a silencer before Daredevil tackles him. This new iteration of Bullseye's suit looks like a more recent version of Bullseye from Marvel Comics artist Marco Checcetto, as opposed to the more classic black and white suit with the bullseye symbol on the forehead.

3 Daredevil's New Suit

Brighter And Back To Red

Charlie Cox has also been seen wearing a new version of the classic red and black Daredevil suit from the Netflix era as opposed to his most recent MCU appearance in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. In She-Hulk, Matt Murdock wore a new yellow-and-red version of his suit and horned helmet, a homage to the character's first appearance in the comics. Instead, this new suit looks to be a brighter red than what was seen in the Netflix series along with black accents.

2 A Return To Josie's Bar

A Classic Location From Netflix's Daredevil

Set photos and videos have also confirmed a return to Josie's Bar, a recurring location in Hell's Kitchen from the Netflix shows that was frequently visited by Matt Murdock along with Foggy Nelson and Karen Page. As such, it looks as though a scene will take place in which Foggy and Karen will be inside the bar while Daredevil fights Bullseye on the street outside. While pure conjecture from set images alone, it does look as though this could very well be a major confrontation that may have disastrous consequences for Matt Murdock and those he cares about.

1 The Punisher Returns

Jon Bernthal's Punisher Series Finished In 2019

2024 Daredevil: Born Again set photos revealed The Punisher's MCU costume and showed a preview of his reunion with Charlie Cox's Daredevil in the show. Frank Castle actor Jon Bernthal also provided his own more direct teaser for the show, via a behind the scenes photo on the set of the show with him posing alongside Instagram user @littlepandapit. Notably, the set photos shared by @SplashNews appear to show a police officer wearing the Punisher logo, which appears to tease a plotline for the Punisher himself.

Daredevil: Born Again is currently in production and is expected to release sometime in 2025.
