Jimmy was inducted into the Cowboys' Ring of Honor in December 2023, at AT&T Stadium. Jimmy was 67 years old when he appeared on the show, making him one of the oldest players to ever play Survivor. Despite his age, Jimmy still has a lot of achievements left to rack up.

He explained that his strategy was to try to convince everyone that he knew he couldn't win the million dollars, so he wasn't a threat (via Entertainment Weekly). Despite the tactic, the men of the tribe didn't believe him and still saw him as a threat. "Had I known that, I would have gone ahead and formed an alliance with the women, which I think I could have done," Jimmy said. "Had I done that, I think I could have gone on further in the game."

In that short period of time, I lost 18 pounds. I was in the seventh grade the last time I weighed 180 pounds." Jimmy went on to admit, "I do believe that takes away a little bit more energy from someone my age than a younger person."

Despite the physical strain and though he only lasted in the game for eight days, Jimmy doesn't regret going on Survivor: Nicaragua. "I didn't go into it to win a million dollars. I went into it for the adventure and I accomplished that."
