What Happened in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2?
Season 2 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ended with Walpurgis, the meeting of the Demon Lords, where Rimuru had his long-awaited confrontation with Demon Lord Clayman. The other Demon Lords sat back and watched as Rimuru and Clayman, as well as their subordinates, battled it out, with Rimuru coming out on top. Rimuru was inducted into the group, now known as the Octagram, as a full Demon Lord, and given domain over the entirety of the Great Forest of Jura, where his Jura-Tempest Federation was already located.
Reincarnated as a Slime's Season 3 Opens with a Disastrous Deception
Riding high on their victory and his new role as a Demon Lord, Rimuru will be returning home with his head held high. Wanting to make a good impression, Rimuru throws a festival in Tempest, intending to welcome those coming to show their respect to the new Demon Lord. However, while Rimuru is doing his best to start off on the right foot, other forces are conspiring to bring Tempest to ruin, sending a false declaration of war to the Holy Empire of Lubelius in Rimuru's name and agitating the anti-monster religion that dominates the Empire.
Hinata Sakaguchi, the Knight Captain of the Holy Empire, receives this message and immediately heads for Tempest, prompting alarm from Rimuru, as the two have faced off before, and Hinata pushed him to his limits. With everything he's built once again at risk, Rimuru will have to carefully navigate the complex political situation if there's to be any hope of avoiding an all-out war. And, of course, there's always the mystery of who sent this declaration of war on his behalf, and what their intended goal in all of this is...
It seems That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime will be wasting no time getting back into the action and drama this season, kicking off the long-anticipated Saint-Monster Confrontation arc. With the long wait for season 3 now almost at an end, Rimuru's story in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime can finally continue.
