Starfish’s Premiere Night Performance & Clues

During The Masked Singer season 11 premiere, Starfish performed "Material Girl" by Madonna. When she appeared on stage, Jenny commented that she was "just an itty bitty thing." Starfish's clue package took place on the beach. She began by saying, "I heard you guys were having a premiere party, so I threw on a bathing suit and came straight over."

Starfish continued, "When I was just starting out, I was serving steaks to the stars, with nothing to my name." A cup filled with markers and a pair of scissors was then shown on a bar, and she knocked it over. Starfish said, "I rubbed elbows with the likes of Steve Martin and Whitney Houston," as framed photographs of them were shown. Starfish added, "But all I heard was, 'Check please!'" She then walked past a sign that said, "No shirt, no shoes, no Starfish!," with a green four-leaf clover at the bottom of it.

Starfish went on to say, "Then, I got the gig of a lifetime. One that would make my name known worldwide." A bottle with "PA's Sunscreen" written on it was then shown, along with a plush doll with brown hair sitting on a beach chair. Starfish said, "Now I have it all, and I can afford it!," as Masked Singer money with her face on it rained down on her. The Masked Singer contestant concluded by saying, "So trust that your 'yes' is coming. Or just find a rich sugar mama like me to mooch off of." Starfish ended with a laugh.

After Starfish's performance, another clue about her was revealed. The clue was a clock that said 9 o'clock with the words, "50 Billion," printed on it. Starfish explained, "I've been streamed over 50 billion minutes! And that was just in one year!"

Starfish's Transformers Night Performance & Clues

During The Masked Singer season 11 Transformers Night, Starfish sang "21 Guns" by Green Day. Her clue package began with a recap of her premiere night performance. She gushed, "Aw, you guys made this Material Girl feel like a million bucks, and being here has allowed me to unlock my inner pop star."

The scene then changed to a music venue. Starfish said, "Growing up, while other kids played in the sandbox, I played with a jukebox." She then played some music from a jukebox and danced. Starfish continued, "That machine transformed my life. It opened my ears to Clapton, Fleetwood Mac, and, of course, Green Day." Album covers with each of those acts were then shown.

Starfish went on to say, "It inspired me to join a band." A fishbowl with a goldfish was then shown, with a sign inside of it that said, "Teacher's Lounge," with a red apple painted on it. As Starfish said, "I toured the nation." She then walked past a red neon sign that said, "LIVE." Starfish then danced in front of a stage, saying, "I've been lucky to dabble in many tide pools. This starfish is versatile, baby."

Starfish then stood behind a table that had Starfish merchandise on it, including an album called "Starfish: Greatest Hits," a pile of t-shirts with her name on them, pink and yellow scuba masks, a baseball cap with a blue star on it, and a purple t-shirt with a blue star on it. She said, "I mean, if those robotty things can turn into different stuff, then so can I!" Starfish then walked away saying, "Now, here I come, guns a-blazing!"

After Starfish's performance, another clue was revealed about her identity. Transformers' Optimus Prime came out to share the clue. He said, "A true teammate, Starfish has earned awards as part of a talented group."

Starfish's Queen Night Performances & Clues

The Masked Singer season 11 Queen Night, which was the Group A finals, began with Starfish, Goldfish, and Ugly Sweater singing an epic version of "We Are the Champions" together. She then sang an awesome version of "Under Pressure" by Queen and David Bowie. Starfish's clue package began with a recap of her Transformers Night performance. She said, "This starfish put up quite a fight last time. And I'm just gonna keep on fighting right through this Group A final 'cause that's what Freddie would do. He knew how to perform under pressure, literally."

The scene then changed to a colorful room. When Starfish was asked how she handles pressure, she responded, "After my two best gal pals got my dream job, the pressure was on for me to become a star on my own. And then I get this call to step in on something else to replace someone who got fired." Starfish answered a rotary telephone on a desk that had a vase of orange roses and a tape dispenser.

Starfish looked out a window through a telescope with pictures of planets on it as she said, "That first day on the job, I felt like my every move was being scrutinized, but this was my chance!" As she said this, she pet a rabbit stuffed animal. She then continued, "Nothing was gonna stop me," and pushed the rabbit to the floor. Starfish explained, "I put my spin on it, and it worked." She then rang a gold call bell.

Starfish went on to say, "Looking back, I'm glad I was able to perform under pressure, and that's exactly what I'm gonna do tonight. It would be another dream come true if I could make it to the quarterfinals. And this queen is coming for her crown."

After Starfish's performance, another clue about her was revealed, which was the Masked Singer cast member to whom she was connected. A magician came out on stage and did a card trick. He pulled a card that said, "Jenny," from behind Nick's ear. Starfish explained, "Jenny, last time we hung out, I offered you tickets to my show. You can consider this one on the house too."

After Ugly Sweater was unmasked and revealed to be legendary singer Charlie Wilson, Starfish and Goldfish competed in the Group A Battle Royale in order to earn a spot in the quarterfinals. Because the Ding Dong Keep it On Bell was already used to save Group C's Poodle Moth, it couldn't be rung again. Starfish and Goldfish each sang impressive versions of "Another One Bites the Dust." Goldfish moved on to the quarterfinals, while Starfish was unmasked.

The Masked Singer season 11 panelists offered several guesses for Starfish during premiere night. Rita predicted that she might be Catherine O'Hara. Robin thought that maybe she was Cheri Oteri, while Jenny guessed that she might be Molly Shannon. During Transformers Night, Jenny guessed that Starfish might be Amy Poehler. Ken was finally correct, and Starfish was revealed to be The Office star Kate Flannery. Kate worked as a waitress, serving some very famous celebrities, including Steve Martin and Whitney Houston. She even kept that job when she was working on The Office season 1 starring as Meredith Palmer, a role she played from 2005-2013. The show has been streamed for over 50 billion minutes in a year, which was referred to in a clue.

The Office usually aired at 9 p.m. on NBC, which explained the time on the clock clue. The cup with office supplies in it from premiere night, as well as the rotary telephone and tape dispenser from Queen Night, also referred to that show.
