Liz Woods Was All About Making Up & Breaking Up
She Always Had Big Ed Back

Liz was in a toxic relationship with Big Ed. They were constantly making up and breaking up throughout their relationship. Big Ed broke up with Liz at least 15 times, and each time, Liz took him back in hopes their relationship would change. Their first breakup came after they rushed too quickly into things. When Big Ed’s dog Teddy died, Liz was there for him, and they rekindled their romance. However, he appeared in The Single Life season 2 and traveled to Mexico to meet another woman, Kaory.
Big Ed went as far as to bring another woman onto 90 Day Fiancé while he wasn’t with Liz. Nonetheless, their time apart ended when she joined him at The Single Life season 2 Tell All. The rest of the cast was surprised by the news and urged Liz to leave Big Ed. “You’re not in love with her, you’re using her. You are desperate,” Debbie Johnson told him at the Tell All. Liz chose to stay with him, and they went on to join the cast of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 8.
During the season, they were planning and celebrating their upcoming wedding. It seemed like they were going to get married until a major fight broke out after their engagement party. Big Ed saw her talking with a friend at the party and thought they were having an “emotional fight.” He flat out asked Liz, “Are you a lesbian?” because he thought their interaction was how “a girlfriend would react to a girlfriend.” Liz then ran away with no shoes as the cameras followed her down the street.
“So the party’s kind of wrapping up, and I see a friend of Liz grab her by the arm. I know her, she’s a lesbian, and this looks like an emotional fight.”
Liz threw her ring into a bush and said their relationship was over, but she didn't mean it. They made up again after their fight at the engagement party. They went as far as to receive professional counseling during 90 Day: The Last Resort season 1, centered around five couples receiving therapy and deciding to stay together or call it quits. They had a mostly positive experience at the retreat, but their progress ended when Big Ed got mad at her for not sticking up for him against Jovi Dufren.
She should have called off their relationship there. If Liz was planning on leaving Big Ed, she could have dramatically turned him down at the commitment ceremony during The Last Resort season 1. That would have been much more entertaining than their quick split on Happily Ever After? season 8. No matter how toxic things got between them, Liz stuck around.
