She posed for pictures as flash bulbs from cameras went off, saying,"When I first started out, I made a splash overnight. But all that success made me feel like I was living in a fishbowl, with everyone's eyes and expectations on me." Goldfish then ran away from the cameras.Goldfish then picked up a glass jar full of red and white hearts. She continued, "I had big decisions to make. I could play it safe, or dive into deeper, darker, edgier waters. So I took the plunge." Goldfish then spun a ship's wheel. She now appeared in darker waters, and blew a kiss that produced two images of bright hot pink lips. She said, "Even though it was a risk, I swam against the current, and broke the mold." Goldfish then looked at a glass slipper. She added, "And, to this day, still love to keep people guessing. That's why I'm here!"Goldfish concluded her clue package by saying, "Hollywood can be a little soul-sucking, so I'm proud I kept my head on my shoulders, just like this mask is going to be. Because when I do anything, I go for the gold." After Goldfish's performance, another clue about her identity was given: a gold record. Goldfish explained, "Let the record show that gold is my lucky color."

During The Masked Singer season 11 Transformers Night, Goldfish sang "Baby Come Back" by Player. When she started the song with some dance moves, Robin pointed out that "she moves like a dancer." Goldfish's clue package began with a recap of her premiere night performance. She said, "I felt that last performance in my soul. And I'm hyped for tonight because who doesn't love Transformers?"

The scene then changed. Goldfish picked up a snow globe with a Christmas tree and a white house in it. She said, "Sometimes the most transformative moments are actually breakups. I always thought I would be married young, like my mom." As a police siren wailed, Goldfish added, "But dating in Hollywood is hard, and this goldfish wasn't always lucky." She put down the snow globe, put her finger to her lips to indicate to be quiet, and ran away.

Goldfish continued, "Imagine trying to move on when you literally see your exes everywhere." A vampire bat was then shown. It flew toward her and she shooed it away. Goldfish added, "And even having your run-ins turned into TikToks." Goldfish then looked into a pond, saying, "It forced me to reflect and learn what I actually need. Now here's a song for anyone who's ever gotten their heart broken. But if the lyrics cut deep, take it from me: there are plenty of fish in the sea."

After Goldfish's performance, another clue about her identity was revealed. Transformers' Bumblebee delivered the clue. He said, "A true performer, Goldfish famously pours her heart, soul, and tears into her work."

Goldfish's Queen Night Performances & Clues

The Masked Singer season 11 Queen Night, which was the Group A finals, began with Goldfish, Starfish, and Ugly Sweater singing an epic version of "We Are the Champions" together. Goldfish then sang an extraordinary and moving version of "The Show Must Go On." Her clue package began with a recap of her Queen Night performance. She exclaimed, "I'm so excited that I'm in the Group A finals!"

The scene then changed to a dressing room. When Goldfish was asked why being a contestant on The Masked Singer meant so much to her, she replied, "I really try to appreciate every moment because I've learned that life comes in waves." Goldfish opened a map of an island with palm trees and a small white house with a red roof, and a red question mark in the middle of it. There were also smaller islands surrounding it.

Goldfish continued, "I had just gotten a dream role, but, the night before my debut, I received the worst news I could have ever imagined. I lost my number one supporter." She then lovingly touched a picture of an older male goldfish that was on the mirror in the dressing room. Goldfish went on to say, "Nothing could have prepared me for that. I felt like I couldn't move. But then I remembered, there was no one in the world that enjoyed watching me perform more." Goldfish then held a purple witch's hat decorated with gold stars.

Goldfish went on to say, "So, I reached down inside and found the courage to take that stage. And I performed for the one seat that wasn't filled." She then looked at a poster that said, "Goldfish" and "The Masked Singer," which had a large red rose in the center of it. Goldfish said, "It was heart-breaking, but so beautiful to honor them. It was one of those 'the show must go on' moments, and I had the resilience and strength to push through because of everything that they taught me. And this song's for them."

After Goldfish's beautiful performance, another clue was revealed about her identity, which was the Masked Singer cast member to whom she was connected. An actor dressed as astronomer Galileo, who's mentioned in Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," came out with a telescope that opened up to reveal Ken's name. Goldfish explained, "Well, Ken, you're ridiculous, and you have so much heart. And I love it so much. You obviously haven't changed since the last time we worked together."

After Ugly Sweater was unmasked and revealed to be legendary singer Charlie Wilson, Goldfish and Starfish went head-to-head in the battle royale. They each sang awesome versions of "Another One Bites the Dust," but Goldfish emerged victorious and moved on to the quarterfinals. The panelists already rang the Ding Dong Keep It On Bell to save Group C's Poodle Moth, and, since it can only be used once in a season, Starfish was unmasked and revealed to be The Office actress Kate Flannery. Goldfish will now compete against Clock, Poodle Moth, and the Group B finalist in the quarterfinals.

Goldfish’s Identity Predictions

Close

The Masked Singer season 11 panelists offered several guesses for Goldfish's identity on premiere night. Rita thought that, based off of the voice, Goldfish might be Hilary Duff or Lucy Hale. However, she settled on Lea Michele. Jenny predicted that Goldfish might be Selena Gomez, while Ken speculated that she might be Carly Rae Jepsen.

On Transformers Night, Jenny guessed that Goldfish was Sarah Hyland. However, Ken used the bat clue to guess that she might be Kristen Stewart. Rita theorized that maybe Goldfish was Nina Dobrev because she starred in The Vampire Diaries. On Queen Night, the Masked Singer panelists had even more guesses for Goldfish. Robin once again brought up Hilary Duff, while Jenny went back to her first guess of Selena Gomez.

However, Rita guessed that Goldfish might be Vanessa Hudgens. She explained that when she was first getting into music and came to the United States, Vanessa "was really nice to me from the get-go," and is "such an incredible human." Rita cried as she said that Vanessa's father passed away hours before she performed in the live television production of Grease, but she bravely took the stage anyway. She added that the clue about Ken referred to the fact that Vanessa and Ken starred in the Netflix animated film My Little Pony: A New Generation together.

Rita is most likely correct, and Goldfish might be actress and singer Vanessa Hudgens. Not only does her voice sound like hers, but Goldfish said that she was finally on the show. Vanessa has been guessed by the panelists before, including during season 10 when Nicole's final guess for Janel Parrish's Gazelle was Vanessa.

Goldfish's clues point in Vanessa's direction as well. Vanessa rose to superstardom when she starred in Disney Channel's High School Musical as Gabriella Montez, and has since gone on to star in edgier films. She also starred in The Princess Switch, which would explain the glass slipper. In addition, Vanessa co-produced and starred in a 2019 Netflix Christmas movie titled The Knight Before Christmas, with actor Josh Whitehouse. This explains the Christmas tree and the white house in the snow globe.

Vanessa's debut album, V, is certified gold. Interestingly, Vanessa and Olivia Rodrigo have both played Gabriella Montez, as Olivia played her in High School Musical: The Series. Therefore, Goldfish's song choice could also be a clue.

Vanessa has had many high-profile relationships. She dated Zac Efron and Austin Butler, and she's now married to MLB shortstop Cole Tucker, with whom she's expecting her first child. The bat clue could refer not to vampires, but to baseball. Vanessa has revealed that her mom got married when she was 25, so she always thought that she'd get married at that age as well.

Rita was correct about Vanessa's Queen Night clues. Hours before Vanessa starred as Rizzo in Grease: Live, she announced the death of her father, Greg, who'd passed away from stage 4 cancer the night before. She said at the time that she was doing the show in his honor. Rita was also right about the Ken Jeong clue. Vanessa provided the voice of Sunny Starscout in the Netflix animated film My Little Pony: A New Generation, while Ken was the voice of Sprout Cloverleaf in the same movie.

The witch hat clue most likely refers to Vanessa's 2023 documentary film, Dead Hot: Season of the Witch. In the film, Vanessa and GG Magree went on a journey to Salem, in which they learned about witchcraft, ghosting hunting, and connecting with the spirit world. Vanessa was also the co-executive producer of the documentary.

No matter who Goldfish turns out to be, she has taken The Masked Singer season 11 by storm. She has a stunning voice and fantastic stage presence. She's clearly a seasoned performer. Goldfish is certain to go for the gold in The Masked Singer season 11.

The Masked Singer season 11 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
