New footage for A Quiet Place: Day One has been shown at CinemaCon, revealing more of what to expect from the upcoming prequel. While the previous films in the franchise have been set over a year after the Death Angels invaded Earth, the newest installment will tell the story of how humanity fell from the beginning. It will also be set in New York City, a far cry from the more rural areas explored in the first two movies.

Now, Paramount has revealed new footage ahead of A Quiet Place: Day One's release, showing even more of what to expect from the new movie. As the alien creatures crash onto New York, Sam (Lupita Nyong'o) eventually meets Eric (Joseph Quinn) and tries to coordinate a plan to leave the city. Unfortunately, they realize they are trapped as bridges are destroyed. As they come across strangers, one man turns on the generator, only to then be attacked by one of the monsters. The man says "It’s the end of days. No more people. No more New York." Other footage also shows the government trying to conceal the alien in New York.
