Georgie Getting Married Has The Young Sheldon Cast Real-Life Emotional In New Video
Summary Georgie and Mandy's storyline in Young Sheldon season 7 is hailed as one of the best original plots in the prequel's history.
The emotional cast discusses Georgie's marriage, especially since they have all seen his growth in Young Sheldon's 7 seasons.
Despite calls for Missy and Mary to be involved in the spinoff, no core Young Sheldon cast members are expected to become series regulars aside from Georgie and Mandy.
Young Sheldon's cast gets emotional while talking about Georgie getting married to Mandy in season 7. As one of, if not the best original storylines that the prequel has come up with, it's only fitting that it also wraps up the pair's whirlwind romance with a satisfying payoff despite CBS continuing their story via a sequel show. Set up by Mary's meddling in Young Sheldon season 7, episode 6, Georgie and Mandy are out to get married in a spur-of-the-moment courthouse ceremony in this week's outing.
In a new CBS featurette (via TV Promos), the cast of Young Sheldon talks about seeing this growth from Montana Jordan and his character throughout the seven seasons of The Big Bang Theory prequel. Watch the video below:

In the video, all core members of the Cooper family reveal what it's like working on Georgie's wedding in Young Sheldon season 7, with Mary actor Zoe Perry particularly emotional. Even Iain Armitage shares his thoughts on this massive development, although Sheldon is notably absent from Georgie and Mandy's ceremony.
Will The Coopers Appear In Georgie And Mandy’s Young Sheldon Sequel Show?
The Coopers' Collective Medford Story Is About To End.
Close
Georgie and Mandy will tie the knot in the midseason episode of the show, Young Sheldon season 7, episode 7, "A Proper Wedding and Skeletons in the Closet." After that, the show will only have seven episodes left before it fully wraps up with a special one-hour finale on May 16. While the Coopers' collective story in Medford, Texas is ending, CBS will continue the newlywed's narrative with their very own show, which will, unfortunately, not feature any of Young Sheldon's other core cast members as series regulars. This is despite calls for characters like Missy and Mary to be involved.
By the time Georgie and Mandy's Young Sheldon spinoff show happens, Sheldon will have already moved to Pasadena, California for his post-graduate studies, while George will have already died, as previously confirmed. This leaves Meemaw, Mary, and Missy to be the only remaining Coopers in Texas. Bringing them back in the sequel show shouldn't be that difficult, especially since The Big Bang Theory canon dictates that Georgie remain connected to his mother and sister after the death of George. That said, Missy actor Raegan Revord has already revealed that she wasn't invited to participate in the expansion show.
Related Young Sheldon Season 7 Dethrones Missy As The Best Cooper (& Her Replacement Is Much Better) After reigning for years, Young Sheldon season 7 officially dethrones Missy as the best Cooper family member and replaces her with someone better.
Whether they make a guest appearance in the upcoming show is a different question. Although the format of Georgie and Mandy's sequel will be different from Young Sheldon's, it's still part of the same continuity. This means that a cameo from the remaining Coopers, including Sheldon, is still possible, depending on the narrative that they will tell.
Young Sheldon season 7 airs new episodes every Thursday, 8pm ET on CBS.
