Merely a week after Love Is Blind season 6 wrapped, Netflix dropped an official announcement on March 21 confirming Love Is Blind: UK's release date. Love Is Blind: UK will be available to stream on August 7, 2024. The UK version will even have new hosts: Emma and Matt Willis.

There would have been no better hosts than this duo thanks to their experience in the entertainment industry. Matt is a musician, whereas Emma is a former Big Brother presenter, giving them an advantage while hosting the British version of Love Is Blind. While sharing the exciting news, Emma said she was looking forward to co-hosting Love Is Blind: UK, expressing how she enjoys playing matchmaking with her friends.

"I love to play matchmaker with my friends and love LOVE, so I am excited to be co-hosting the first-ever UK version of Love Is Blind. I'm intrigued to see people connect on a purely emotional and mental level right off the bat, without visuals playing a part."

Love Is Blind: UK season 1 is confirmed. When officially announcing they would be the show's hosts, Matt and Emma noted that it would premiere in August only on Netflix (via Netflix). The debut date has yet to be announced, but fans are excited to get a British version of the famous hit show. Love Is Blind: UK was first confirmed in a press release in February 2023 before Netflix announced Emma and Matt as the presenters on their official Twitter channel in August 2023.

The caption on Netflix UK & Ireland's official X page read, "Introducing your hosts of Love Is Blind: UK. Welcome to the pods, Emma and Matt Willis! Coming in 2024."

Netflix's official Love Is Blind: UK season 1 trailer was released on July 24, 2024, just a few weeks before the season is set to premiere. In the trailer, several cast members' motivations for coming on the show were highlighted before the hosts described the goal of the pods and the experiment.

The trailer then cut to some funny and awkward pods moments, The point was made by one of the female participants that "everyone is dating everyone," which Love Is Blind fans know leads to tons of entertaining drama and love triangles or quadrangles.

Tears, laughs and celebration in the pods were shown in the trailer before several in-person reveals were showcased with only one of the two individuals in the couple being showcased, so as not to spoil too much. However, a spoiler did come when a snippet of the weddings was shown. A woman with a darker complexion and a fairer-skinned man were holding hands at the altar, which fans a clue as to who will make it through the whole experiment together.

Love Is Blind: UK will still follow the same format as other seasons from the Love Is Blind franchise, where singles will enter into pods searching for love. There will be people from all walks of life, and it will be pretty interesting to see the UK's dating scene. Previously, Love Is Blind pods transversed Japanese, Swedish, and Brazillian international territories, and soon enough, the audience will meet the UK cast. Although season 1 hasn't dropped, Netflix sneakily revealed the news about Love Is Blind: UK season 2 while looking for season 2 participants.

The statement urged the interested participants to apply and fill out a short form detailing their age, occupation, gender, and Instagram handle. The casting process for Love Is Blind: UK season 2 remained open until July 14, 2024. Like Nick and Vanessa Lachey, Matt and Emma might remain the hosts for season 2, but the Love Is Blind fans will have to wait and see.

The cast guide was released by Netflix.com the day after the trailer was released. The diverse group of 30 participants includes someone who was engaged for less than 24 hours previously and someone who has a rapper alter ego. Furthermore, there is a Funeral Director, a Fashion Tech Founder, several Nurses, and a Baby Photographer to name a few occupations from the bunch. The youngest participant is 27 and the oldest is 38. Love Is Blind: UK's cast is quite impressive on paper and it will be interesting to find out how the different personalities mesh.
