Batman's first mission to space calls for a new Batsuit specifically tailored to his new surroundings. Bruce Wayne traveled all over the world in his early years to learn how to take down criminals. But the one thing he never trained to fight was aliens. After Batman is brutally defeated by an alien and brought into outer space, the Dark Knight has to adapt to a brand-new environment, and he does this in classic fashion by creating a brand-new Batsuit.

In Batman: Off-World #4 by Jason Aaron and Doug Mahnke, Batman once again shows off his brand-new Batsuit as he uses it to take down a group of alien criminals in a ship hangar with no issue. This is a stark change from when he first fought these aliens and was easily and quickly defeated.

Batman's new Batsuit is one of his coolest yet, with a neat armored appearance and a bright blue glowing bat-symbol on his chest. All of this comes together to create a futuristic-looking Batsuit that Bruce uses to traverse the dangers of outer space.

Batman Begins Building His New Batsuit

Batman has had plenty of Batsuits over the years for a variety of situations, but this story takes place early in Batman's career. This is before Batman even knew aliens were real, which suggests it's before he met Superman or Martian Manhunter. This means that this could very well be the first new Batsuit that Batman created in his career, and it's no surprise that he's continued making new ones, as this one seems to be a massive success. Despite having to use parts and materials he claims to be unfamiliar with, Bruce ends up creating one of the most powerful Batsuits he's had in recent memory.

This incredible Batsuit has features such as the "Space Cape," which allows Batman to glide through space. He also has electric gloves and Batarangs that return to him when thrown. It's a shockingly big upgrade, considering just a few weeks earlier, Batman was running around Gotham in his basic cloth Batsuit and using his regular gadgets. Batman has always been a master of adaption and planning and this is shown off perfectly here. When left alone with tools and unfamiliar materials, Batman still manages to make a new Batsuit that easily lets him adapt to his new environment.

Fans love nothing more than when a character gets a new outfit. Batman has had dozens over the years, from his iconic gray and blue to the darker gray and black. Batman has always had suits for different occasions, and it really seems like this might be the first time Batman was forced to create a new Batsuit for a dangerous new environment. While it's not exactly clear why Batman stopped using this suit upon his return to Earth, it's still one of the coolest new Batsuits that Batman has ever had.
