Created by Chad Feedhan, Lawmen: Bass Reeves is a Western series based on the true story of Bass Reeves, who was one of the first Black deputy U.S. marshals west of the Mississippi River. David Oyelowo, who is also a producer on the series, plays its titular character, with a supporting cast that includes Lauren E. Bank Demi Singleton, Dennis Quaid, and Forrest Goodluck.
As per Deadline, Feehan has now confirmed a major change for potential future seasons of Lawmen. Check out the full quote from Feehan below:
“If there is another season of Lawmen, it will focus on a new lawman or law woman. There are several figures in history much like Bass who deserve their day in the sun. As much as it pains me that this marriage is taking a hiatus, that is the reality.”
