His late wife, Toni Turni, passed away in 2017 from a bacterial infection shortly after the pair had bought their dream home. Gerry and Toni were together for 43 years total.

Gerry had a swoon-worthy proposal to Theresa in Costa Rica, and the pair seemed beyond thrilled to start their lives together. They showcased their love all over social media, talk shows, and podcasts leading up to their January 4, 2024 wedding where many of The Golden Bachelor alum were in attendance. However, it appears their happiness and marriage was just a facade, because only three months after tying the knot, they announced their divorce on Good Morning America. The pair blamed it on living separately and not being able to meld their lives together, but there seemed to be more to it.

It came out that Gerry had allegedly lied about not dating until coming on the show. An ex-girlfriend came forward to paint Gerry has a shallow and cruel partner, and Gerry also lied about his work history. Moreover, Gerry was a retiree and Theresa was still working very successfully in the financial sector. Rumors of unrest between Gerry and Theresa over Theresa's request for a prenup were also swirling. While it appears there is more going on behind the scene of their shocking split, Gerry and Theresa have presented an amicable front.

Although Leslie lives closer to Gerry in the Midwest, and distance away from family attributed to Gerry and Theresa's downfall, Leslie seemed like an easier fit into Gerry's life.

On Leslie's side of things, it does not seem like she is in contact with Gerry, but there have been no updates on her side since Gerry and Theresa's divorce announcement was made a few days ago.

Leslie did an interview with bachelornation.com, where she updated fans on her love life.

"No dating updates recently. I actually have not been dating. I haven’t really had that many people ask me out or try to set me up. I thought it would be a little bit more abundant, but that’s ok."

It's possible that there is still enough there for Leslie and Gerry to try and repair things and start fresh off-camera, but both The Golden Bachelor alums probably need more time.
