Sweet Tooth season 3 is set to premiere on June 6.

The trailer for Sweet Tooth season 3 unveils a first look at the end of the Netflix fantasy drama. The show, which premiered on the streaming platform in 2021, is based on the comic book series of the same name by Jeff Lemire. It follows Gus (Christian Convery), a part-deer child who is born in the near future in the wake of a pandemic that devastated the world's population. In the spring of 2023, when the show was renewed after season 2, it was announced that the upcoming season would also be its last.

Netflix has now unveiled the official trailer for Sweet Tooth season 3. Check it out below:

While it showcases many different environments, the trailer seems to reveal that the final leg of Gus' journey will take place predominately in snowy locales. Additionally, the streamer has announced that the season will debut this summer on Thursday, June 6. They have also revealed that Kelly Marie Tran will be joining the cast as Rosie, a character who does not seem to have a counterpart in the comics. Will Sweet Tooth Season 3 Stick The Landing?

The End Of Gus' Story Is Nigh

As the intensity of this trailer shows, Gus' journey through to the series finale will likely be a challenging trial for the character. The intense Sweet Tooth season 2 ending presents a tough act to follow. The new season seems to be hitting the ground running, however, and his snowy surroundings as the hunt for Gus' mother in Alaska continues could indicate that there is a bleak path ahead for him and his allies.

The Sweet Tooth cast also includes Nonso Anozie as Tommy Jepperd, Adeel Akhtar as Dr. Aditya Singh, Stefania LaVie Owen as Bear, Dania Ramirez as Aimee Eden, and Aliza Vellani as Rani Singh.

Another major sign that the season is moving in the right direction to end the show properly is the fact that Kelly Marie Tran has joined the Sweet Tooth cast. Tran is an actor best known for playing Rose Tico in Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi, Raya in Raya and the Last Dragon, and Dawn in The Croods: A New Age. The multitalented actor has largely starred in more family-oriented properties, so her being allowed to spread her wings in a darker onscreen universe could imbue the final season with a potency it might not otherwise have had.

It remains to be seen how Sweet Tooth performs with audiences. However, so far it seems to be putting its best foot forward. With only a few months left before its premiere, it seems likely that another trailer will arrive before long to offer an even closer look at the goings-on of the plot, potentially revealing more about the nature of Tran's character Rosie as well. However, of the glimpse that has been offered so far, it seems to be staying true to the tone and propulsion of the first two seasons.
